Dwight Clark recipient of "THE CATCH" passes away from ALS at 61

I was just reading an article about the NBA finals when this article caught my eye.

That catch was what defeated the Cowboys in the 1981 NFC Championship game and propelled the 49ers as the dynasty of the 1980s.

Condolences to his wife and family and to the entire 49ers organization.

This catch was the beginning of a run that netted the 49ers 5 Super Bowls. Clark would win two of them before retiring in 1987.

The article also mentioned that Clark believes his time in the NFL contributed to his ALS. I think that the NFL needs to expand the concussion protocol to include neurological exams.
