Eating Habits?

This is more a general thread that anything about me. I wanted to pose the question. do any forum members ever have periods where.. they just do what they want when it comes to eating, even if it doesn't make sense?

I try to subscribe to about the same eating habits each day. One big meal, hot, and the other two, sandwiches, bread.,. etc. This is due to weight, money, etc etc.

Starting on Friday.. my eating has just been weird. I had a big buffet for lunch.. then when I got home.. I was like "need Chinese food before I watch the Mets and Braves". So I ordered it.

Same thing Saturday. I ate like a complete pig at the game. Burger, Hot Dog, Two orders of fries, and two diet cokes. Then, as Barney and I were entering the building.. I was like "Need to go upstairs and have apple pie a la mode". It was like.. "Midnight". He looked at me like I was crazy. I came upstairs, and had the apple pie a la mode. I know he was thinking "YOU need apple pie a la mode after what YOU ate??

Today, I had Chinese food for lunch.. and was in bed much of the day. It's almost dinner time. When I woke up I was like "Need apple pie a la mode". I have very little food in the house. I need to go shopping tomorrow or Wed, but I never have that at almost five oclock..its like.,. its almost dinner.

This hasn't happened to me since college. Maybe I'm too "structured" with my eating, but I try to do so for health, and monetary reasons.

In college, it wasn't uncommon for me to have my three meals a day, and then order Domino's, have Chinese food, or go to the diner for a midnight big meal with friends. College students do that. Everyone used to.

Does anyone go through periods like this, where your eating doesn't make sense?

Thoughts?
 
You're not alone man, not alone whatsoever. My body weight is constantly fluctuating due to my weird diet. I can go months eating healthily, exercising and even keeping the caps on the beer bottles for longer periods. Then it can all go straight to hell after ONE night of hedonism and I'm back to square one. Eating mostly crappy foods and developing a nice ass-groove on the couch. I don't know what to tell you man, maybe it's just a motivation thing.

I found it was worse over the college months too, but now I'm back at home and getting back into eating healthier. Don't know how long it will last, but all I'm saying is; I get ya.

My eating habits are truly all over the place. I am supposed to follow a rather strict cardiac diet but sometimes the desire to eat that stuff is just not there. For a fat girl, my desire to eat much of anything is surprisingly low. Most days I will opt for a bowl of cereal, rockin' my one meal a day with style. On rare occasion, however, I will have a moment or two in which I will eat like I am starving. I guess it can be said I eat like I sleep, sparingly with a little catch up thrown in the mix.
I also find myself craving certain foods under stress. Cheese, potatoes, poblanos and pickled quail eggs to name a few of my stress foods.
 
I try my best to stay consistent with my diet. I used to be overweight throughout most of middle and high school and when I decided to crack down I cut dairy, sugar and red meat from my diet completely and went about 2 years without fast food. Now that I've grown comfortable with my build I'll have fast food maybe once or twice a week or have my "fat-day" typically being a sunday of recuperating from a hangover or just plain old loafing. Also i prefer to have a light meal during the day before heading out and I'll usually have a feast when I come home at night. Though it's not the best method it adheres to my schedule between schooling and working nights. The only way I don't feel bad about my sometimes poor slip-ups is by trying to work out roughly every other day or more pending how motivated I'm feeling at the moment.
