Hope you had a good weekend...mine was good. I'm working the next 4 days and then a 4 day weekend for one last summer break.
 
Yesterday was fantastic, from noon to past midnight. :bouncybou
Today I am in recovery mode. By tomorrow I will be back to normal. 😀
 
Are you ever really normal Mils? Kidding...I used to say why would I want to be normal? Normal means average and I'm far from average.
 
I'm ready for work and then 4 days off...my last real summer break. Had a lot of time off this summer.
 
I already plan to hopefully do the same next year...just take off a ton of breaks between Mid-June and Mid-August.
Someone at work was talking about his friend who lives in Florida January through March and NY April through December. I really want that to be me someday I think.

Plenty of people in New Jersey where I grew up did the same, living in Florida during cold weather. (As some of them put it, "I go south after Thanksgiving and return in time for Passover.") We called them snowbirds because they fled the snow. Their neighbors in Florida called them sunbirds because they came there for the sun.

Oh yeah I think I'd wait till after Christmas though as I don't mind being in the colder weather in December. It feels right plus the majority of my family is still locally in the area.
But coming back on April 1 would be nice lol. Especially after the weather we've had the last 2 weeks it's like man I wish we had more time like this...but I am hopeful the next few months are going to be nice like this and stay relatively mild.
 
I would also love a mild September and October.
Be glad that you don't live in Twillingate, Newfoundland, where tourists go to watch icebergs float by in June.
 
Trust me I know a lot of climates are colder than ours...but as I always say the climate we have is the coldest I would ever want to deal with. I would never want to move somewhere where it's consistently colder than here. At least we do get 4 seasons in our area...I think spring winds up being the disappointing one often.
 
I once knew a woman who grew up in Twillingate. In most years, she said, their last snowfall is in June and their first snowfall is in October. The only time I might visit there, I told her, was July or August.
We do get four seasons, and I can at least tolerate three of them.
 
Same here. I always say for the most part our weather is decent at least from St. Patrick's Day till Thanksgiving...not going to be nice everyday but it's not horrible usually as often as it is from Thanksgiving to St. Patrick's Day.
 
Sometimes, after there has been a blizzard, I say to myself, "Why didn't you move to Florida last October?"
