I was looking through some anime pics lately, and I noticed something really weird about El Hazard. The Ifurita character in her purple-haired form is featured in many pictures as having an outfit that looks as if it's been damaged in some weird ways: for the most part, the outfit is fine, but there is a distinct rip in the chest part providing a view of her cleavage. Other than that, her shoes have also been ripped off showing her bare feet. It seems rather strange that those two places would be the only parts damaged in whatever situation she was subjected to, which leads me to the question: what is her story in this series? Was she subjected to tickle torture or something? lol j/k

that is absolutely correct, I looked it up on ask jeeves.com and it told about how she was captured for three years, held in a prison cell and had her shirt sliced open, so they could put ants in her breasts and took away her shoes to tickle her feet with this machine they called the lorapi taom. she later escaped but kept the shirt sliced, and her shoes off because of her past.

Um, thanks for the response soxy feet, but it's kind of hard to tell whether you're joking or not... lol I mean, the askjeeves part is funny, but "lorapi taom" is such a random sequence of letters that it sounds believable. Is that a creation of your own, or is that seriously part of the story? 😀

It's a joke by soxy_feet. Even though El Hazard was done by the Tenchi Muyo creator, it doesn't go to anything like that. It's merely a fantasy anime with revealing girls like Tenchi was.

But it would still be interesting to know the story behind why shes barefoot and her shirts ripped like that...maybe a battle but then why both feet's shoes nylon pants thingies are both gone?

And you may or may not know, Ifurita was Tickled once in the seires, In The Wanderers Ep 13 Pure Evil Genius, She is tickled as punishment for failure. Its more funny then anything but still.
