<img src="http://mysite.freeserve.com/poisonousmonkeyart/endofera.jpg" border="0" align="left">I've lately come to the conclusion that my art seems to look dated and demure by today's standards, hence the rather stinging criticism I had recently. I'm doing something about it, and I'm throwing away my colouring felt pens. Won't be using them anymore, so it's essentially "the end of an era". I am now moving on to something different. I've essentially been playing catch-up with everyone else and it's about time to wipe the slate clean. I can admit, my art is popular, but not THAT popular. Some while know what that is already, but if you don't know, you're just gonna have to wait during this summer. Stick around, it'll be good what I'll be doing next time.

That said, I'll still be posting here. If you are gonna ask any questions about my art and what's gonna happen next, I won't reply back or give you the answer you're looking for.

Anyway, this is just a random batch update. Admittedly, some of the pics here are a wee bit crude, but the comic here is definitely worth a look... Enjoy them... for now...

Dr Darang is back, putting the hurt to KJ and Lia

For 4kdt[ktk: He hired Kitty. It's his fault!

For Wolf: Somebody throw him a bone...

sl44n3sh's China Girl pays her dues... in the stocks

A bear and a cat tickle Selis under wraps

...and finally, Cheshire and Chimp get Stimul8d in this comic

This is Adieu... to the felt pens anyway...

Poisonous Monkey

hey chimp, thank you for the artwork you did for me! for what it's worth, your works were great!

You always had a fan here in me. I've always preferred your style over all the other tickling art I've seen.

If the tickling art world were the rock music fraternity, you'd most definitely be Radiohead - I'll look forward to seeing what you do with your stuff next. 🙂

Oh and if meachr happens to be lurking...then with Chimp being Radiohead, you're most definitely Smashing Pumpkins 😉

Rock on, kids.

I personally always loved your art and its look from the style to the coloring. But if you wish to change your style grippedchimp then thats your decision. Whatever you do I'm sure I'll enjoy it though, considering your talent.😀

Selis is oh so very hot when she's tied up like that LOL!!!
Anyways great update and I look forward to seeing your new style.
Hopein to get my own update up soon ^_^*

A time comes when all things come to an end. But, as to the new pics.....AWESOME!!!! Your art is superb, and don't EVER let ANYONE tell you otherwise!!!!

Hey Chimp...great batch of pics. That comic...ohh man. It was great. But anyway...I've always liked the way you draw and the colors. I'm interested in seeing what your new pics will look like.

Good luck on your new direction, man. I only hope that you're doing it for your own expression and not because of one or two critics. You gotta do what comes from inside, dude. I get slammed by the straight-by-the-book Poser crowd all the time for not being "pure", but I like the way my art expresses my feelings and vision. Screw 'em.

I'm looking forward to see what you come up with. You're a classic, my friend.

What Dave said. 'Cause I don't think I could put it any better.

Well, it won't have the same feeling to it, so let's hope it can only get better. As for the actual pictures, I love the last one. Crossovers are the best thing since... non... crossovers... yeah. Also, the last panel is gold. Gotta love good artwork with a good punchline.

I agree with the others chimp,I've always enjoyed your artwork. I too hope that this new direction you're talking about is due to a personal growth spurt and not influenced by a couple of critics. You know you're always going to have those, but those of us who admire your stuff will always far outnumber them. Anyway, good luck with your new endeavors, I'm looking forward to more great things from you in the future. (whew, that was a long winded post for this old nutbag.):jester:

**sheds a tear**

definitely gonna miss yur art, buti can't wait for your new stuff.
i practacly grew up on yur tickle pics. lol. adios to the old era and in with the new.

Sir, you are the shignition on the Shizzevy SHIZNITMOBILE!

Here's the honest truth: I save myself a lot of time now. I come to this forum, and I just scroll down the posts, and if it don't say "grippedchimp" I don't bother. You're the only tickling artist who's ever done a damn thing for me (not literally, as in drawing something specifically, but your art, man, is FUCKING A+). The style is unlike anything I've ever seen ANYWHERE. You do those drawings in felt pens, or you do them with a friggin' yellow highlighter, as long as you keep your talent in front of people. They will appreciate it, I guarantee. I further Lazlo's comments: in a sea of Christina Aguilera (Uglyhaira?), you are Radiohead. If the tickling art scene were Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, you'd be that psychedelic boat. You're the Coen Brothers in a sea of Michael Bay crapfests, the "28 Days Later" in a land of "Resident Evil," and the Gary Oldman in an unholy flock of Hugh Grants. You are every Reservoir Dog rolled into one. You are every goon in "Trainspotting" rolled into one (except maybe Begbie, he's a psychopath). You are the man. Thanks for sharing your talent with me and everyone else. I hope my moniker doesn't still freak you out. Take care.

Ah, and that comic you're going to draw with those punk goddesses.... felt pens, or something else now? Whatever it is, it will be spectacular, without a doubt. Perhaps KJ could make an appearance? She's always been my fav...

I have always liked your work and if you feel you need a change of style I know it will be for the better. Keep up the good work.

-a fan-

Chimp....my man....

Listen dude, you dont have to live up to anyones expectations other than your own. You set your own standards. Like many have said, your technique is what makes you who you are. I dont know that many tickling artists who color by pen and thought it gave your work a style all its own. But if you feel its time for you to grow as an artist I say go for it man! HIPPITY HOOPLAH!!!

PS: Oh yeah, love the new art by the way. Cali and the girls never looked so good...LOL

ol' norman is right!

if chimp didn't reply to a thread it's probably not worth it. ol' chimp, chesire, and a few others are like my heroes. ever since i joined the forum, i've fallen head over heels over chimp's foot tickling pics. i have a folder in my pc, that's named "a shrine to chimp" chimp, i feel like jello when you reply to one of my threads!
*sheds a tear* i'm your number one fan, my main man.

oh hey, norman stansfeld, my name is norman harris, by the way. it's so hard to find fellow normans. lol. i'm norman the 3rd. any ways nice to meet you, norman, i'm norman. lol

A one Bob Dylan said "These times, they are a-changing"...

I think this new move is really just an evolutionary, revolutionary thing, and a subtle way to shut all critics and sceptics up. I think it's not the first time I've changed styles. Anyone remember ancient times when I used colour pencils to abysmal effect? Well, the time is right. After all, second year in the TMF, my group's second anniversary; and this, my second change, a second coming. Many of you don't realise that my drive comes from a severe inferiority complex. Why do you think I'm so keen on improving all the time?

Glad that someone referred to me as the Radiohead of TMF artists! I seem to have a cult following! And it's real cool that you mentioned Smashing Pumpkins in this thread too, Lazlo. I love those bands!

Wow, I must've been here for way too long, 'cause I DO remember the coloured pencils...

Hmm, I vaguely remember an X-Men pic with colored pencils...

I dunno, man. I liked the pencils, the pens, the whole whiz-bang. This stuff is golden, in my useless opinion. Being a struggling writer ain't much fun, so I can just imagine what a struggling ARTIST feels when somebody looks down on his work. I know criticism makes you feel like shit, but remember... those who can't create, criticize. Try asking some of your critics to send in some art, and see what you get. I'll tell ya: STICK FIGURES! STICK FIGURES WITH LITTLE SMILEY FACES AND ARROWS POINTING TO THEM THAT SAY THEIR NAME! AND LITTLE TREES AND HOUSES AND CLOUDS IN THE BACKROUND!!!

Two things I do when I feel down: Listen to the Propellerheads remix of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and look at your art.

Oh, and Mastah Cartman: My real name is Eric. Norman Stansfeld is a moniker I took from a little-seen movie called "Leon." It's Jean Reno's greatest work, Natalie Portman's first role, and the last good movie Luc Besson ever directed. The VHS version is called "The Professional" but that's been hacked to death by fuckin' evil distributors. If you wanna see it, look for the DVD that clearly says "Leon." It has about a half-hour of extra footage, and it makes ALL the difference. Believe me. I took the name because I'm a fucking huge Gary Oldman fan and I love the spectacle he makes in that movie. My quote, too, is from Stansfeld. So, yeah. But Norman's a cool name, man.

I like your pictures, why the hell do you care what those guys think?

chimp you have always been and always will be f***in awesome no matter what any critic said. Any lighter compliment would be an insult to your skills 🙂
