Well I've been getting into rugby lately watching these world cup games. Usually all they show are repeats here a couple days after the fact, so I may be able to see the championship game sometime in the nect few days🙄 But anyways, it is fun to watch.

What a match! But oh boy, that was a nervy as watching a Tim Henman match at Wimbledon! Not that's necessarily a bad thing, at least it was entertaining! Wilko, Jonno and Co. really hung in there, and all credit to the Aussies for fighting to the end (though I wonder what the Aussie tabloids would say), but thank god the English Rugby team stopped all those moaners in our country who say that we NEVER win any big tournaments! We can finally claim to be the best in the world at a truly international sport!

England Rugby team: Grand Slam Six Nations Champions, ranked No.1 in the world, and finally World Cup Champions (and the first ever northern hemisphere country champions). Hey, it don't get much better than this in British sport!

Congratulations to the World CHUMPions to a sport that is watched over here by a total of...3 people, maybe.

As for football players here, if they didn't wear pads they would be dead or close to it. Put one of those rugby wankers in some pads on a football field and see how long they last. I don't care how tough you think they are, nobody is taking that kind of pounding.
We played pick up football games without pads growing up. Trust me, it was far worse than any rugby game, especially when you played "Kill the guy with the ball". It was a game just that, clobbering the guy with the ball, no scoring, no points, just beating the hell out of the poor sap with the ball. Yes, broken bones and missing teeth. I don't know why, we were bored I guess. lol

Seriously tho, Congrats to your team. Having your team win in any sport is always a great feeling.
