Did anyone happen to hear about or see New York City Fox anchor Ernie Anastos' on air slip up this past week? Apparently, during the evening news, Fox station WNYW was doing a story about chickens, and when Anastos referred to the story, he apparently meant to say "Keep Plucking That Chicken". Anastos, instead of his intended word of "Plucking", said "Keep Fucking That Chicken". The video of Anastos' on air faux pax is all over the internet. He apologized on the air the following night to anyone he may have offended. However, in spite of Anastos' apology, I just read that Fox is still considering whether to fire him.
I say that Anastos apology should be accepted, and the network should move on. It doesnt seem right that a guy should lose his job, because of a one word mistake, that he apologized for. It isn't like he intentionally cursed on the air.
Thoughts on this? Also, if anyone could post a link to Anastos comment, it would be appreciated.
