I've had a few way back but, I just got another one about 3 hours ago. I was straightening up some video tapes and dvds while in a crouching position when I lost my balance. I pitched forward and tried to stand at the same time and "CRIK-KRIKLY-KRIKLE!" the second toe of my right foot curled under and was then driven into the floor by my own weight! It didn't really hurt. In fact it sounded like when you crack your knuckles but, now if I move my big toe, the broke one feels like someone wearing heavy boots is crushing it. I guess it'll take a few weeks to heal. Until then no tickling for that foot I guess. 🙄

The toe next to the pinky toe on my right foot!

I was working the night shift at a radio station. I was in one room cutting a commercial when the show I was producing went to a break. I had my shoes off (go figure) and when I sprinted around the corner I smacked my foot as hard as I possibly could into the door frame!

Apparently (from what I have been told) there is nothing to do for a broken toe and I didn't have insurance so I limped for a good long while.

That toe is now turned at about a 45 degree angle from the way it should be straight down with the others.

Cracked the big toe up the middle on the left foot and broke the pinky on my right.
Tape one toe to the other's about all you can do. Maybe wrap in ice for the swelling.
Hope it goes good for you. Broken toes HURT!

::screams in terror at that bone sound::

I broke my baby toe about 2 times, first time in wrestling practice where we werent allowed to wear gym shoes so it was in socks and pretty much me tryin to hold ground on 2 football linebackers, didnt work to well, bout a half hour later i realized my toe was just in agony

Next time, same foot, i was walkin to my room and cut a corner to make it to my room a second faster and my toe impacted on the wall

OMG! My skin just crawls at your description! Here's why!

When I was a freshman in college I broke four toes and several bones in my foot in a most disturbing way. In an effort to make you not feel silly about how you got yours, I'll share...hehe.....why oh why do we do things like this? :idunno:

I was home visiting for the weekend and thought I'd play with my cat that I had missed terribly. I was living away from home for the first time, and I thought playing with my cat like I always had was a grand idea. Only one problem, my parents had recently remodeled the hall entrance and it stuck out a bit farther than it had the last time I was home. So.......

Running back and forth in "chase" style with the cat pouncing and me giggling..... :cat: oh geesh...yeah, so running around with the cat.....and....

Can ya guess?

I kicked the wall at full throttle. Just ran smack into it in an effort to not step on the cat. Where'd that wall come from?

I collapsed :cry1: and much to my chagrin, my father came to the rescue. He loves me....and bless his heart, he thought he was helping. Well, he packed my foot with ice, and tried to ....*cringe* ......"fix" my toes....which he thought had just kind of jammed together. So he gently tugged on the offending things feeling sure they would POP! and everything would be good.

*sigh*

So, later in the hospital, I was asked abotu a million times to explain how I broke my foot....each person giggling as they walked out of the room. I almost walked...well, limped out when the doctor asked!!!

Looking back now, it's all pretty funny, but when your toe is broken, IT HURTS~!!!!!!!! Who knew a tiny little thing could render a whole body useless!!! LOL

Good luck, and God Speed for your tootsies to recover!

I broke my big toe (and little toes on a few occasions )
First off, when you jam, stub your little toes fairly hard, chances are you've broken them. There isn't anything to do for them, really. OK, now for the story. I was playing softball, years ago and was in the batters box. The kids who played at this field, evidently, like to dig foxholes at home plate. I have a semi closed stance and step into the pitch, well I stepped into the pitch and the foxhole, bending and snapping my big toe. I ran down the line, single(yay) and thought maybe I just strained it. I then, unwittingly, began to stretch it out(Comedian: Jim Breuer - "walk it off, dick! ). Next at bat, I ran out a double (yay again ) and now it was really hurting but still stretching and bending it out. I was then in the outfield and a guy was tagging up at third to run home on the fly out I caught, so I got a good run in on the ball and threw him out (good game ) while seriously bending the toe on the play. I went home and took off my sock to put ice on the toe and a bruise from my toe to the top half of my foot was there, all nice and swollen like. My toe felt like if someone put a pin to it, it would have exploded. Lo and behold, I had a fracture and all that could be done was some cotton between the toe and taped to the second toe, so I cut the top part of my sneaker off for a couple of weeks.

Moral of the story...don't get out of bed. :devil2:
