ever have to pretend not to be interested in a tickle?

Has this ever happened to you:

You are at work and you are talking to someone, and a few desks over someone is talking about a pedicure experience and it being too ticklish

Or you are sitting there somewhere else in public and you witness someone getting the crap tickled out of them...and you have to go about your business as if it's not totally interesting you?

I had that last night...a girl I know was tickling another friend I know for a good 30 seconds and I had to just go about my conversation and kind of ignore it, even though i'd love to stop and watch what was going on...

Oh, that happens to me all the time. I was in a nail salon on Thursday, talking with a client (the salon owner) and we were in her office which was directly behind all the pedicure thrones. Two women were getting their feet scrubbed and practically howling. It was through open the office window to my right, in full view, but I had to keep my focus on my client.
I was in a department store yesterday, again talking to clients and two of them broke off into a conversation about getting massages. One started giggling and saying how her feet were so ticklish, she could never get a foot massage or pedicure. She even said just talking about it makes her laugh! Unfortunately, I couldn't participate. 🙁

I just sit back and enjoy the show. It happens so rarely. But I am respectable to my company and don't ignore them. But if two girls tickle each other in public they are basically begging for attention. I almost want to ignore them so as not to placate them. But if they catch me look with a cocked eyebrow, hey whatever, you're right there, was I not supposed to look.

Watching other people get tickled isn't all that interesting to me so I think I pay attention to it as much as any other person does.

Haha all the time. If I see friends of mine tickling each other or if I overhear conversations about it I have to keep my mouth shut and bite my tongue. Some of my co-workers (female) were talking about pedicures and ticklishness and despite how much I'd love to have chimed in, it would've made the work day slightly awkward. Sometimes you just gotta restrain yourself. (unless she's already restrained 😉 )
