Ok so I just recently saw Exorcist: The Beginning, so I am wondering what anyone else thought of it..
personally, i thought overall the movie was entertaining.. id give it a c+.. i think the story was lacking in a lot of aspects, as the main theme of the movie was father merrin losing his faith in god and struggling to regain it.. which sucked to me because i am not a religious folk.. and there werent very many exciting/scary parts as there could have been.. it progressed rather slowly.. and the movie also relied HEAVILY on cg.. most movies do use cg, but the sequence after the opening where they are panning down into cairo.. you can so tell that NONE of it is real.. and the hyenas have caused alot of controversy for their 'non-realistic' appearance.. this part i can understand tho... its hard to have trained hyenas.. let alone have them work in a movie where their shining moment is tearing apart an 8 year old child.. better left to cg
anyway.. thats all i can think of for now... anyone else have any opinions on this movie?
