Extortion Emails from Tickling Submission

I have received two or three extortion emails over the past six months. They state they have videos or pictures taken of you while you were watching the "Tickling Submission" website. They then attempt to extort $1,000 in Bitcoin or they will send the photos/videos to everyone on your email list. They use your correct password to the pay-site to force you into thinking they have the other information. This leads me to think it is being done by the people that run the website, or by someone who works/worked for them. I notice their released content has dropped greatly over the past year, and I cannot but help and wonder if this is their new plan to generate revenue. Has anyone else received such emails?

This is a fairly common scam.

I've seen it across a number of sites I've used. The sites data was compromised at some point, and that provided them with your information. I'll wager the e-mail you got came in on the account you used to subscribe/buy from them.

They then spam their demand to all the accounts they harvested and hope they get someone who is afraid of being outed.

Note you have gotten these mails over six months. If they were serious you'd have been burnt after failing to pay the first one. They are just fishing for a scared mark.

It's not the owners of the site. It's not anyone associated with it. They are low end hackers that collected some info and are looking to leverage it.
