Superb posts as always! Sorry if this is being too personal but as a bit of a civil war buff I have to at least ask, how is it that a German chooses the name of a controversial (criticized Lee at Gettysburg) Confederate general and a quote from Abraham Lincoln?

Hi scee56,
I`ve been interested in the American Civil War since I was 25.
Longstreet always was my favourite General. Because I think he was right at Gettysburg. Turning the Federal left flank would have been much better than attacking the Union Centre at Cemetary Ridge.
As to Lincoln; for me he`s one of the most men during the Civil War.
His quotation shall be a guide-line for all of us.
