It is sometimes called "Greek toe" since some ancient Greek sculptures show people with their second toes longer than their big toes.
Morton (Dudley J. Morton 1884-1960) was an orthopedic surgeon who described the condition.
Below is a less extreme case.
On a personal note, my father, my brother, and I have Morton's toe.
