I can see where you're coming from. I don't have that thought but I understand. For me tickling has both an erotic and friendly application. In it's friendly application I don't feel anything wrong. But there are circumstances where it would be uncomfortable if that line were crossed. But I see what you mean.

I agree w/ya! I think that it definitely depends on who is doing the tickling. On one occasion, my nieces surprised me, jumped on me, and proceeded to tickle me profusely. They thought it was hilarious, and so did I. But, the part that got me, was that I had to REALLY focus on gathering my strength to get out of their "auntie lockdown." I probably laughed for a full 3 minutes until I mustered up enough breath and strength to threaten them with telling their mom and dad that they weren't listening and that they'd get into trouble. I still laugh about it today...
In a completely different situation, I have been bound, and tickled (whew!) by someone that I would have sex with, and that's why it was way different. WAY, WAY, WAY different. But, if tickling by a certain person makes someone uncomfortable, then personal space should be respected...hands down.
I remember watching my dad tickle my sister and I had to leave the room...it's very awkward...also hearing my sister talk to her daughter about tickling and family members talk about ticklish pedicures just makes me wanna puke...so I get it.

Tickling is not necessarily a turn on for me as such, more just a playful thing even if I am being bounded down in sessions...anyway, I remember even as a child I never liked being tickled by family, I don't even like hearing them say the word "tickle" as it made my stomach turn. To this day I hate that they'd even try which they don't. I think they get the jist that I don't enjoy it at all.
It can feel weird to some because it's a turn on. But to others its meant to be a form of playful "torment". Family tickling completely repulses me. Tickling among my family members is... I guess fairly common. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. Luckily, they've completely given up on me. I'm so disgusted by the idea that whenever anyone has tried to tickle me I die a little inside and just don't react, so they're convinced I'm just not ticklish. I have a very strict rule about friends or boyfriends tickling me in front of my family: NO! It's not funny. It's not cute. lol I really do not see why everyone is so shocked by this. If someone has a paraphillia where tickling in and of itself is the sexual act--or if they cannot seperate tickling from a sexual thing it just makes sense they wouldn't want to do it with or around their family.
I never had that problem since tickling for me is only sexual when it's with a sexual partner and the rest of the time it's fun, so I can appreciate tickling with just about anyone and have very fond memories of tickling from childhood with my family.
What I find funny is the people declaring absolutes here like "THAT IS SOOOO GROSSS!!" or "ITS PERFECTLY NORMAL!" when obviously these statements would really depend on the person in question. heh.

Yeah I had a super awkward moment like last week at my boyfriends house. I was telling my boyfriends dad about skin analysis I learned in class. Testing for elasticity for hydration and last is skin sensitivity and his dad went "skin sensitivity? You mean like this?" and he grabbed my boyfriends wrist and tickled him under his arm and I felt my stomach turn and said "no... not like that".
