my rule for that much personal bubble invasion is
"if your in a social scene drinking (bar, club, party, etc) than go for it" but it would have to depend on multiple other signals from her that she even wanted ur attention

generally its more of a situation dictates kinda thing, least for me

but again if it works for u than i encourage it, and might even try it myself (after which ull get praise and some of the details)
