battlefield earth is a future sci-fi, where earth is in the hands of an eveil alien species.

He was a high degree Freemason you know. 😉

I don't suppose his evil aliens were reptillian in appearance were they?

And he's the guy who came up with Scientology.

Hmmm. Just like Joseph Smith (and Brigham Young his sucessor), the founder of the Mormon Church and another 33rd degree, he was also a child abuser and a closet Satanist.

i'd make it a quintiology

and add the similarion big jim.
i too counted the triology as my favorite, but didn't think she wanted to go that way, thus my other recomendations. i hope this doesn't get me kicked out of the fan club!🙁

listen let's not turn this thread into a masonic bashing party ok?
hubbard was an ass in many ways, but his battlfirld earth book was a wonder! more like 3 books in one. huge in volume, but kept your attention, and a fairly quick read. and no, no lizards.

Battlefield Earth..

Nope no lizards (except the Tolneps were somewhat lizardlike). Just a great book, and as steve said, much like 3 books in one.

I deliberately left that one out actually. I've tried to read it twice and found it utterly boring on both occasions. The only parts I enjoyed were the ones about the Ainur's creation of Middle Earth, Iluvatar's casting out of Melkor, and the last parts of the Third Age. The rest might as well have been a school text book.

No probs mate. Remember that people like Hubbard, Young, Smith, Washington and Mitterand are not what you think of as Freemasons. They have nothing in common with people like your dad and my uncle, neither of whom will have a chance of getting beyond the Blue Degrees.

Indeed, being such a complete nerd does not come easilly ma'am. One has to practice it at least three hours a day.

Being English also helps. 😉
