The air is getting crisper, the leaves are changing, Football Season is in full swing.. Halloween and even Thanksgiving planning has begun.

1. Not being FUCKING HOT AS FUCKING HELL LIKE THE DAMN SUMMER FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

2. Sex. Errr I mean getting plastered. DAMN! I mean uh................nice Thanksgiving family time and wholesome entertainment and hard work. 😀
 
The bare tree tops outlining the autumn night sky, sitting under the stars and staring into space, dressing up for Halloween and scaring people, kissing under the moonlight and holding each other tight to keep warm, hot chocolate while watching a movie with a loved one under one blanket, holding hands during a late night walk, and romantic camping.

also...Looking forward to Bella's 🙂
 
:nicethread:You pretty much said it all! Fall is so beautiful here in Western PA! I love the cooler weather, the smell (yes, fall has a "scent" lol), football, taking long drives/walks to admire the gorgeous views, picking pumpkins and drinking hot cider while waiting in line at haunted houses. Halloween is awesome too, one of my most favorite days of the year! I couldn't be anywhere else this time of year 🙂

Yes, hot chocolate too! Can't believe I forgot to mention that :facepalm:
 
- Hockey season starts

- No moar wasps or insanely warm days

- I can go outside and pick apples and pears from the trees in our garden

- Winter has never felt so close. Hooray!

- Time to start counting down to CHRISTMAS! ;D
 
So many things...

As much as I love all the seasons, Fall is my favorite time of the year:

* It's still warm enough to play outside with all my little ones but not OMG hot.

* My husband stops looking like Zombie Leprechaun because of his allergies, and the flies and mosquitos go away.

* My best friend LOVES this time of year and we tend to have a ball watching horror movies under a blanket and walking on the local nature trail and such :happyhop:

* I get to plant my tulip bulbs for the following spring, an October ritual of mine for the last 7 years.

* I love being able to wear my sweaters and boots (my figure was kinda made for sweaters)

* The beautiful leaves (though since I left Vermont all other leaves are kinda FAIL, lol),

* Preschool Halloween is ridiculously fun, construction paper owls and ghosties and coloring paper leaves and going for baby-walks to see all neighbors Halloween decorations

* And, I have this little party in November that people seem to like 😎

Echoing excess, it's not freakishly hot!
I don't think we get the cool autumn colors here, all the trees are now sporting leaves that resemble shrinky dinks. They look like green leaves but they're all dry and dead. They just fall off green I think.
I enjoy the rain/perpetually cloudy sky.
Muscadine Grapes are ripe now 🙂
 
The fact that it's called Autumn, and not Fall. 😛

Stepping on crunchy leaves.

Home made apple pie, using apples from the big tree in the garden.

Winter clothes start coming back into fashion. And I look better in a long coat than in a string vest. 😀

I love the cooling temperatures, crispiness of the air. Not hot, but not cold just yet. I love the colors of the leaves, even when they fall to the ground. I also love fall because my birthday's in November and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. :bounce:
 
I love everything about the autumn. It's my favorite season, even though I love them all. Some of my fav things about it...

- the leaves changing and painting the landscape with an ever-changing and breathtaking array of color
- the fresh crisp smell in the air (it really does have its own scent)
- the cool temps and lower humidity
- the beginning of the end of bees for the year! I'm allergic and they've nailed me on 7 different occassions this year...including three stings a couple of days ago. Grrr! Be gone!
- comfy enough to use the fire pit and no mosquitoes to eat us alive while we're doing it.
- the look of bare trees once the leaves are all down...or there are only a handful of strays left
- things slowing down a bit for Drew at work so we actually get to see one another before dark
- this year...hopefully having good weather to finish reworking the landscaping out front.
- planting my gardens...which will be a major production this year since I'm spending a week at my dad's to pull up all of my mom's thousands of bulbs/tubers after we get back from vacation (Want some Bella? 🙂 )
- it's great weather for hiking
- a nice hot cup of spiced apple cider
- my allergies finally start to settle down
- watching all the cute kids dressed up for Halloween
...and so much more! :couch:
 
It's not summer anymore, the tourists have gone home, and thus the roads are quiet.

Also it is a good excuse to wear a hat.
 
Oh man,fall is the best.I especially loooove October.

~ HOODIES

~ Even though I'm color blind the changing leaves are awesome

~ There is just a certain aura about the season

Well no, not if the hat is as awesome as that one. Unfortunately all of my hats are either wooly watch hats, baseball caps or flat caps, and I need a bloody good reason to leave the house wearing any of them :-o
 
The cooler temperatures, the crisp air and the leaves changing colors. Jacket weather for the win!! ...and there's FINALLY someting to watch on television.
 
-No insanely hot weather. (Fuck you 100+ days, like yesterday/today!)
-Bundling up in a jacket on a cold fall morning.
-Drinking hot tea/coffee/cocoa and holding the cup between your hands to feel the warmth. :redheart:
-Curling up under a blanket to watch movies/read.
-Being with family.
-The leaves changing colors.
 
Bonfires with music that go late into the night (fire bans are finally over by then)
Cooler temps which leads to more activities outside
No need for a/c or forced heat.
I love Fall! Usually when we take our vacations too.
