Favre FINALLY traded

About time.

And now he is a New York Jet. That game against New England just became interesting.

Now this does loads of good for Jets offensive players in Fantasy Leagues.

Im starting to scour the waiver wires now.

Rob

He just needs to leave football before he ruins any kind of legacy he could have.

What are the jets gonna do with current qb chad pennington? I heard he may be traded?

He will be traded or released thursday. So farvre is the guy for Ny.

I'm just glad is fricking over already. lol He is one of the best QB's to have ever played the game, so I don't think his playing will tarnish his image, but both he and the team mishandled the whole situation. I'm just glad he's a Jet and not a Buc. I'd hate to have my Saints face him twice.

So how good this actually make the Jets and the Packers? Does anybody think the Packers will still be good enough to get back to the NFC title game let alone the playoffs. With several other additional aggressive moves in the offsesason, are the Jets now a playoff contender.

I'm just going to take an educated hunch that the Packers are going to face some serious growing pains with Rodgers for the first half of the year before surging big time in the second half, but coming up short of the playoffs. I think the Jets are very likely to be a wildcard in the AFC and finish with 10 and 11 wins, but I still don't see them getting past New England, Indy, or San Diego in the playoffs.

What does everyone else think about the Packers' and Jets' season prospects after this trade?

I would have prefered him to stay retired, but I don't agree with you. Favre's accomplishments are far to great for something like this to ruin his legacy.

Oh no, I didn't mean this incident. I just meant like any bad plays/calls or injuries he will have in the future from playing longer than he should have. If he can do it at his age, then more power to him.

this trade can possibly get the Jets in as the wild card. however there is really only one spot left since the jaguars are nearly a definite to grab one of the wild cards. the jets do benefit from a relatively easy schedule but this trade will do nothing more than a possible wild card and quick playoff exit.

The Jets won't make the playoffs. Brett goes from being a top 5 quarterback in the NFC, to a bottom 5 quarterback in the AFC.

He should have just stayed retired. Now he will be remembered as another New York Loser. The jets suck. Neither them nor my packers will make the playoffs. Bad move Brett!

Whether this makes the Jets better or not, can we all agree how excited we are to witness Favre's first INT in a Jets uni?!

Let the gunslinging begin!

Hey guys it could have been worse! He coulda been traded to the dallass cowpatties!
