Featherstone Mansion (RPG Maker VX)

Just finished the game. And I have to say it's definitely among the better ones that I found there! It's hard to believe that it's your first game, considering that only issue I encountered were just typos in some dialogues(And those happen to everyone). I also see you made the game "notice" when someone uses cheat engine to alter amount of gold, thanks to that after second playthrough I was called a Cheater in the scene selector(I was too lazy to find all the gold again as Beth ...), even though it seemingly let me get away with that XD

I really like the fact that we can pick a character, even though in the long run it alters just the picture and dialogues. It would be nice though if each of the girls got one somewhat "unique" scene for herself instead of same situations with slightly changed dialogue and picture(For example Ruby can somewhat become immobilized at one point and have her feet tickle-licked by cats, while Beth would for example be spotted as "new" by other maids and would undergo a quick "welcome training". I am also a foot-fetish kind of guy so more scenes focusing on feet, especially Ruby's, would be nice too, but that's just me I guess XD)

I find the idea of making the tickle scenes reward for progress actually interesting, although it would be nice to have few "Game Over" scenes too(Like when certain person catches you near the end... just preferably none with Squiggly, one with him is enough XD).

Overall I think the game is really cool though! As I already mentioned it's hard to believe that it's the first one you made! Hope to see more stuff from you in the future!


EDIT: Oh wait, I encountered a small bug twice. When I was opening the door leading to that place with a tree, where scene with maids happens. When playing as Ruby I was noticed by the patrolling maid during dialogue, but got to enter there anyway, and when I was playing as Beth, same thing happened but this time I just got a sudden game over during dialogue about opening the door...(It happens only on the right side of the door, on the left maid never notices you)

EDIT2: Oh and I also found the Laughing House reference in the dungeon! minor spoiler: Poor Lucy, she just has no luck to those mysterious "abandoned" mansions in the middle of forests XD

Just did the Maze, bravo for how you've done some error handling for the chaser! I did admittedly try to use my knowledge of the RPG Maker's AI system to get the bugger stuck, only to spawn another moments later. How do I know it's not the same one? I got lost and ended up with 2 of the buggers chasing me!

Hehe. You noticed I cheated with the maze chase. Yeah, the AI is dumb, like REALLY dumb so I tried all sorts of alternatives to get the feeling of being chased. This was the best I could come up with.

Gonna tinker with a few minor details, typos, sprites and maybe the amount of flashing that occurs during tickle scenes. Keep you eyes out for bugs still, I know there are still some around. Heck, if I get enough time I might even make some 'Game Over' scenes in particular parts (someone mentioned a 'Bad End' scene. That might be cool actually). We'll see.
 
Ok, added another link changing a few little things.

- Added a new sprite in the final scene.
- Added a map file of the maze if people get stuck.
- Changed the name of a potential problem BGM
- Added the 'secret' cg to the scene selection map
- Corrected a few typos, fixed picture problems in scene select
- Removed the RTP to the game package (easier to download).
Edit: - No more infinite gold cash machine (thnx TW)

Again, any issues with this one let me know. Changing stuff like this might affect other parts of the game so I can always link the original if so.

But I'd like to add this: I liked the laughing gas traps at the beginning. It's rare to see this kind of stuff and that was a great addition.

It's a program called 3D Custom Girl. Pop it into google and it should show you what you need to know (it's kinda an old program but works to make amateur cg scenes with a little bit of photoshopping).

Glad you enjoyed the game. Anyone can make this kinda game, just look at all the amateur porn games on sites like hongfire or whatever. I just wanted to make one about tickling .

I think it's because alot of us are wanting to see that "Special punishment" she was going to do until we got rudely interrupted.

but it's just my opinion, if you wanted don't put bad endings it's your decision, it's your game after all, it's a good game and I like it.

Now if you want to put bad endings.... great, but... put only if you want, because if you put it just because your audience wanted... I don't know, I think you will not have the same motivation as you had in the creation of game

Just count the barrels on each side of the room with the riddle and those are your numbers.
 
When I get to the maze (as Beth) I get the following error message: "Unable to find file Audio/BGM/11 - Shinobi no Okite Jou no Maki Revised." No idea what's causing this.

Hmm. Another BGM problem... It's strange, I have people who have gone through the game fine and some with issues with BGM. I'll see if I can find the cause when I have the time (currently working). Might be an issue with compressing the game files or something, I admit I'm not very knowledgeable with RPG Maker problems.

I think I found the problem. If you don't extract everything in an English locale, the error appears.
 
One thing I will say though, might want to cut down on the flashing in scenes or at the very least, put an epilepsy warning at the start of your game.

I agree with this. Do you think you could include an option to turn off the flashing, or reduce the intensity? All that flashing makes it impossible for me to focus. It's a really glaring negative in what's otherwise a pretty atmospheric and well-made first game!
 
Really great game, just finished the beth path and eager to play the ruby one soon. Haven't found any bugs yet, so there's that, and as many people suggested I'd love it if you added some game over scenes, but that's just me

- Lowered the intensity of the flashing in the tickle scenes (about time)
- Fixed an issue in the maze where the monster would sometimes cut through walls.

Sweet, it's a lot better now. It'd be nice if I could have the option to reduce it more, but it's no biggie.

So far, it feels very resident evily, which is pretty cool. There is a few nitpicks and critiques I have, but I'll save that for after finishing. As for positive feedback, I really like the use of Mack sprites to make your own custom characters, as well as your (un)dressing them according to what's been happening to them. I also really like the variety in 3d scenes so far, which brings a lot more than just using one still image for whole scenes. It makes it stand out compared to a lot of other tickle games where scenes are basically just dialogue with small chubby sprites or general use non-tickling related images.

I've also ran into this error:

Unable to find file Audio/BGM/11 - Shinobi no Okite Jou no Maki Revised

The problem is that in the file name "11 - Shinobi no Okite キ Jou no Maki Revised", the character between Okite and Jou isn't recognized by the program. What you need to do to fix it, is to rename it and remove what's in between Okite and Jou, then go into VX and re-set the music.

Damn japanese tunes! I've renamed the sound file and reset in the parts of the game (only used in one part). I'll try and make sure there aren't any other instances this happens by looking over all the sounds files again but it might take a little while.
 
Where is the last 5 gold damn it lol :stickout A great game I must say :D But this last 5 gold though >_> ugh twice now I'm 5 short :(
 
I easily found 50 golds. Just check everywhere and you should find it. If it' 5 golds then ... it'(s probably in the armor of the corridor where you meet the maids for the first time. One of them contain 5 golds (while playing as Beth).
 
Just a quick question, what are the 50 golds for? I mean I got the feather from the chest, but what does that change?
