Feet have been getting a bad rap-

I have heard so many negative and bad things said about feet in general lately. Not in the TMF but outside of it. So many people HATE feet or think they are gross etc etc Three close friends of mine who are all women just this week alone said "I hate feet" "feet are gross" 'I dont like my feet touched at all". To me feet are like any other body part they can be ugly or sexy depending on what they look like and how they are taken care of. I have been hearing so many people say "Feet are gross and they smell". Once again to me that depends on the person. Not all feet smell and not all feet are gross. If someone does not brush their teeth they then get bad breath and yellow teeth. Are ALL teeth gross then? People love smiles dont they? If a person does not take a shower dont they get Body odor? Are all bodies gross? If someone does not wipe their ass does it not smell? Everyone out there loves a nice ass right? When you think about it what has the potential to be more gross an ass or feet? You dont go to the bathroom with your feet do you? But people dont look at it like that. Its all in the mind. And then there are the women who dont like other peoples feet and because of that dont like their feet touched. Once again its all in the mind. My friend Andrea hates other peoples feet but thinks hers are cute..but because she has this negative attitude towards feet she does not let anyone touch her feet including her own boyfriend. I also find that women who say they dont like feet or say they dont let people touch their feet NEVER had them touched so they dont know what their missing. I have met a few women who hated feet and would not let anyone touch their feet,but once they agreed to let me play with their feet they realized how much pleasure they could get from it. Its all psychological. Then there are the women who get a pedicure every single week,wear open toed shoes,think their feet are cute but nobody can touch them. Only time they are touched is during the pedicure. Feet to me are like any other body part,it depends on the individual person!!!!!!!

This takes me back to one cloudy spring day back when I was in the tenth grade. I was sitting in my French II class working on something--it was during a "free time." In other words, the teacher wasn't conducting any kind of lecture or class activity. We were just supposed to be working on some things that we had to get done. Anyway, some girls sitting near me were having a conversation about some recent rules the powers-that-be in the school had made regarding the dress code. One of them had gotten the idea that sandals were no longer allowed to be worn without socks. This was later found out to be false, by the way. This prompted a discussion about feet. One of them commented on how her boyfriend just "loved her feet." Another one remarked on how she thought feet were gross, and another one countered by saying, "Oh yeah, I think feet are sooooooo nasty!" The one who had remarked on how her boyfriend loved her feet talked about how he liked to play with her feet, and she said something along the lines of, "I wish I could do that." Then, they joked that maybe the reason the powers-that-be had banned sandals without socks was that guys would be lustfully looking at girls feet.

The OP just brought back that memory, and I thought I would share it.

I guess feet have been tainted to be a dirty, smelly body part by many. I guess they do tend to get that way, being cooped up in shoes for long periods of time. But really, they probably aren't any more dirty than, say, a person's hands. Imagine all the dirt, grime, and germs people probably get on their hands! Can't be much worse than feet.

I guess it's just to each their own. I, personally, like women's feet in general. I don't necessarily have a "foot fetish." By that, I mean that I really don't have a desire to lick, worship, etc. a woman's feet. But I do like to see women with cute feet wearing sandals or going barefoot, and I will always wonder if those feet are ticklish.

And just for the record, the "bad rap" foot people get comes from somewhere, that somewhere being how many of them act here and other places. Let's face it, many foot people create their own stereotype, and a bad stereotype is a hard thing to get rid of. He's talking about the dislike of the body part rather than the negative image which some people feel has been attached to foot fetishists.

My views on both of these things are

1. people are allowed to find things unattractive, that's called "being human". Not everyone likes feet, in the same way that not everyone likes morbidly obese torsos. Horses for courses.
2. no fetishists get a bad press, sometimes an unbalanced person with a fetish does something bad and it gets reported, and then the paranoid victim mentality of people who have yet to make their peace with their paraphilia concocts some vast, wide-reaching conspiracy against people who are into feet. The bad press doesn't exist, it's all in your head, grow a brain and either get comfortable with your fetish (being a signed up TMF member is a step in the right direction) or end yourself violently.

Well, sorry if I jumped to any conclusions about your predilections, but my question remains the same: why do you care so much what other people think about feet? Frankly, I just don't see this behavior as being anywhere remotely close to as widespread as you're making it out to be, I'd say a good 95-99% of humanity doesn't really care much about feet one way or the other.

They seem to care and like I said most dont like feet. Most people I talk with are more negative towards feet then neutral. I was just asking why do feet get the worst rap of all the body parts and why not other body parts? I never hear people saying an ass is gross but I hear feet are gross all the time. Regarless of what some women think, their eet need not be dirty or smelly if they wash them. Their feet can be attractive and sexy if they take care of them. Happily, some women do realze this and appreciate attention to their feet. Don't worry too much about the others.

I too know of several girls who dislike feet saying they are freaked out. I've asked why and one said its because they look like weird alien hands. People are freaked out by feet for a number of reasons. Some think they are dirty, others smelly and then some like my friend think they look odd. In the end does it matter? Its all about personal preference there are some who think feet are amazing and love to be touched other despise it.
It only seems like there getting a bad rap because when do people talk about feet in a good way? Its rare because its seen as weird to like feet according your average Jane.

That said Ticklish Fetish, usually when I hear "Most People think" or "Most folk..." or "Almost all the people I know..."

It's a general statement. There's nothing scientific proving that feet are getting a bad rap. To be honest I would think underarms would be a scarier thing to touch for most folk than feet. Does this mean underarms get a bad rap just because I tend to notice negative resentment to it? No, it doesn't.

Just one persons perspective, in this case yours. You've already answered your question many times. It's an illogical thing to dislike feet in general compared to the rest of the body... but it's logical to assume that people will like and dislike what they want for whatever reason.

I particularly don't care for just feet myself. I like to think I have a girl fetish. Girls just turn me on, their whole body, it's a mystery. I just love 'em.

Taking a look at it, I think it's not so much that feet are getting a bad rap, it's 1: fetishes in general, 2: things that attach to a fetish, and 3: just being in public.

1: In my opinion, everyone has their kinks, but most of these people don't know what that is. This reason comes from they are just not interested in looking, they are a bit nervious on it all, or, worse, they know what their fetish is but are afraid to go into it.

2: This goes on with the "afriad to go into it". Let's take tickling for example, feet tend to have an connection to tickling, and say feet come up in a topic. If a person doesn't want to go into it, they will immediatly make it known that they are against it.

3: Again, sorta goes with 2, most people won't admit their kinks to people, specially friends/family. Though, then there are people like comedian Ron White, who basically admitted... he had an enema fetish on national television.... yeah
