This has been an interesting thing that has been playing around in my head, and so I thought I would get some other peoples opinions. I was more or less born with a tickling fetish... I liked tickling girls before I liked doing much else with girls (and that came at an amazingly young age itself) but basicaly it has been a part of my life for a long time. What I found interesting is that alot of other intrests grew out of it, bondage, dominance, some I enjoy alot without the tickling... or with teasing, or something that is simi-tickling related. The reason its really started interesting me is that for all the foot people on the page, I never concidered myself one... but as I have more and more real life expereance with tickling, and the unique nature of the feet as a target, I like them better and better. I still wouldent say that I have a foot fetish, but I would say I have other fetishes besides tickling... I supose I wonder if they are all offshoots of one major fetish or if fetishes can bread other fetishes so to speek. Anyway, feel free to give your opinions, expereances or general rants. I'm trying to get more into posting so I thought Id start here.

I have had interests in tickling and female feet as far back as I can remember, which is to the age of 4. While I wouldn't quite say that they created other fetishes, they did lead me to seek out women who would enjoy my interests (in recent years Mistress Zara), and this led me to being asked to try other things, some of which I liked. So my interests have grown from being with women who liked my original two interests. 😀

I have some "sub-interests" that have stemmed from tickling in one way or another: feet, socks, stockings, certain shoes and boots, watching women play with their shoes, laughing gas, sneezing (from tickling noses, of course!), even the game Twister has been known to strike my fancy (because you're suppoed to play it with your shoes off).

It wasn't until after I was married that I began to explore the extent of my fetish, especially by surfing the net and discovering a thriving tickling culture out here. I'd say I'm also interested in bondage imagery, but I think that's partly because my mind "fills in the blanks" about the possibilities of what to do with an attractive, bound woman who could be ticklish. I also have a mild foot fetish, but again it's related to tickling. I don't think, for me at least, that my tickling fetish created other fetishes. It just brings everything back to tickling for me.

Since I was a kid to early adulthood, my main focus was on my foot and tickling fetishes. Then, for some reason, I became a little more interested in tickling women's underarms. As time progressed, I began to really embrace pit tickling, but I still had no interest in the female underarm on it's own.
Now, I seem to be more interested in female underarms than I was before. I believe it's only a matter of time before I develop a female armpit fetish too.
I still don't like rib tickling though. It just does nothing for me.
Oh, well. Maybe in a couple of years.....

I too am one of those whose tickling fetish seems to be inborn. I agree that this fetish can spread into others.
In order to truly understand this phenomenon, you have to go way back and understand where in your psyche the fetish itself lies. There are so many "sub-fetishes" within tickling that there's no single correct solution. I can only speak for myself here, but it will serve as an example. As a very young child, tickling the neighborhood girls was a source of empowerment. Not in the dominance sense, but in the limited social structure of childhood interaction. Simply put, boys are stronger and can pin you down and tickle you. I got you down, I tickled you and made you laugh...ergo, I "won". This is an important thing to a socially bumbling child. At that point, there is absolutely nothing sexual about it, of course. The mind (at least the part that control sexuality) is not that developed yet.
But I do believe that it's almost impossible to not branch out into other fetishes. The rush from that limited form of dominance manifests itself during sexual development. Logically, the next step is to restrain someone and then tickle them. Or, at least think about it. This leads to bondage, and depending on the individual, other BDSM-related themes.
It is my belief that developing the tickling fetish as your MAIN fetish has to do with your personality. For the most part, I have discovered in my travels among the tickling community (both actual and online) that tickling fetishists tend to desire control but are not "so far gone" into it to desire hurting another. For me, I think it branched out of a need to control, but also a need to be "liked". As in...I want to control your reactions, but I cannot go so far as to become a "prick" and hurt you. It's that grey middle-ground that we exist in, it seems.
There are many who delve into BDSM and use tickling only as another dominance method, one on the same level as whipping, spanking and other forms of pain play. I believe that a different set of desires controls folks like this. It's more of a "total control" need...without the social filters, so to speak.
