Fetishes and Cheating

I was thinking about this the other day and I was curious what others take would be on it. Do you think that having a fetish, especially for a body part, makes someone more likely to cheat, especially as you get older. I ask cause I like a lot of guys on this forum have a foot fetish. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that sees in the image section that it is younger women that have their feet on display. So as you get older and your partners feet don't look as good as they used to, would you be more tempted to look towards a younger person to fulfill your fetish needs? I know this all roles into how superficial people are, and if looks don't matter to you then obviously the answer for you would be no. My mind just tends to wander sometimes and when that happens who knows whats gonna pop into it at that time. Anyway, hope that makes sense, but if not sorry for the disturbance.

Honestly, my answer to this is no. I have two reasons for saying this.

One, "vanilla people" who dont have fetishes cheat, so.. people who cheat, do so for other reasons than just fetishes, be they tickling, or body part fetishes.

Two, if you have a good relationship or rapport with the person you are with, be they wife, husband, significant other, same sex partner, etc, you are with them for other reasons than just how they look, and how their feet look. You love them for their qualities, and you take aging as the natural process. All people age. It's a fact of life.

Maybe that's a "rose colored glasses view", but its how I see it.

I don't know if a person's fetish would make them cheat. I think people that cheat would cheat anyways, whether or not they had a fetish but sure, I can see it being more tempting to someone that has a strong sexual urge for whatever they're into. I'm a one person kinda gal........if I met someone who repeatedly had to go and get his fixes elsewhere, I wouldn't even get involved. Just me. 🙂

So yeah, having a fetish may make temptation harder but ultimately it's up to you on whether or not to give in. We're all responsible for the decisions we make.

I think the opposite might be true. I think a lot of cheating happens because couples aren't being honest with each other about their sexual needs. And I think kinky people in general tend to be more in touch with our sexual desires, and more up front about them. So we might not be as likely to fall into that trap as others.

I agree with Angel77. Most people tend to cheat regardless of fetish or age. I've faced this situation a while back(I was suppose to be the other man). It seems people want what they want.

I would certainly hate to think that my feet are getting old, and that some day they might lose Lou's interest. I know that I would miss the attention.

I couldn't have put it into better words. Moreover, a person who is going to cheat it's going to do it regardless of having a fetish or not. A fetish alone however being the main reason for cheating I can't see, unless they are with someone who just isn't trying to honor that part of their relationship. So in that case, don't cheat, just break up and find someone who will honor your desires and fetishes.

Having a fetish doesn't put us more in touch with our sexual needs. It just means we like stuff outside the mainstream. Neither does having a fetish imbue us with a greater commitment to honesty and fidelity.

I agree with Angel77. People will either cheat or they won't. It has nothing to do with fetish.

Having a fetish has nothing to do with how likely someone is to cheat. It depends on the person's character, the relationship they are in.

Vanilla people's partners age as well, and the whole partner might not look as good anymore, not just the feet! 🙂
