Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Im a huge final fantasy fanboy. I have been waiting for this movie to come out. I was hoping for a game, because after the spirits within came out, I was alittle skeptical that they could do another animated movie. I have seen numerous screens, and trailers, and from what I hear from fans who have the import, its a great movie.

Final fantasy seven was a great game. It had a great storyline and lovable characters.

Aside from a few lines being swapped from the Japanese version, it's pretty good, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole movie 😀

Final Fantasy VII Remake has been officially announced now. I don't see why they made the tech demo to tell everybody they weren't gonna make it then turn it around and do so. -.- Anyhow it's gonna have the battle system from XII or so they say. Hopefully not, since the system was kinda weird for me to get use to. Movie comes out next week btw.

I saw a subtitled version of this when it came out on DVD in Japan...needless to say, despite a few flaws with the film, I'm still going to put it on my DVD shelf and erase the memory of the horrible 'Spirits Within'!

And also, we in the UK get it the day before, on April 24th!! For once, we get a bloody DVD before you guys do!! XD

Well, I guess I should've posted my thoughts on FF:AV here instead of on the video game thread. Overall a good movie, though if you've read my previous rant, then you'd know my gripes. However, I too am curious of this extra content that will be available, though I doubt I'd buy it just for that (and there's really no point, in my case).

BTW, has anyone heard the English voices yet? I personally hate Mina Suvari as Aeris (she does her voice in KH2 as well, of course). She sounds nothing like Aeris should sound. Mandy Moore was much better. They should bring her back to do Aeris's voice. Perhaps I should start a petition or something, and I know alot of people would agree with me.

Lol kinda too late though don't you think? I mean the movie release is around the corner, lol. But yeah I agree, Mandy Moore did hell of a lot better than Mina. But, that is life, lol.

my understanding is that rachel lee cook is playing tifa. Thats the only person i recognize from the cast.

I recognized Rachael Leigh Cook, Mena Suvari, and Steve Burton. Rachael Leigh Cook, who's playing Tifa, was in "Josie and the Pussycats," as well as some other movies. Mena Suvari, the actress voicing Aeris, was in "American Beauty" and the American Pie movies, and Steve Burton, aka Cloud Strife, plays Jason Morgan on the American soap opera, "General Hospital." Wally Wingert, who plays Rufus, has done a lot of voice work, including "Transformers: Robots in Disguise," where he voiced Side Burn and Mirage. Christy Carlson Romano, the voice of Yuffie, was in the Disney show "Even Stevens" and voiced the lead in the cartoon "Kim Possible" and did some acting work in some Disney movies.

I wonder who they got for Reno? Hopefully somebody good, he's one of my favorite VII chars, him and Rufus both.

Reno will be voiced by Quinton Flynn who done the voices for Raiden in MGS Axel in KH:2 and he did Isaaru in FFX

Seen the japanese version of the movie. it was amazing. I'm glad there doing a remake of FFVII too i just hope they don't change the mechanics of the game too much.
