Foot people - do you consider yourself perverted?

I haven't visited the TMF for a while, but I miss questions like these and the debates they sometimes generated, so here goes:

So, in my experience, the majoirty of us ticklephiles ties in our primary fetish with a love of what we deem to be attractive feet (I'm speaking, as a guy, to the guys here, but females should join in if they have something to say. Obviously I'm not silly enough to assume that a love of male or female feet is in any way gender specific). I'm sure pretty much everyone digs this time of year, when trainers or boots are replaced for sandals or, in the right setting, nothing at all covering the feet of the fairer sex (ambiguous term). Even the most restrained among us must allow ourselves a glance at a pair of nice juicy bare peds when we're sure they're on display and no one is looking. My query is: am I the only person who has pondered whether this is ethical?

I do it myself, so I am not in the interest of mounting my high horse over this, but the thought has consistently occurred to me. What is the real difference between us foot watchers and your average common pervert? Surely both gaze at a non-consenting party with a view to sexual arousal, however slight? The fact that most people are completely ignorant of our desires is surely irrelevant - we are still basically voyeurs. And although this does not affect me on a practical level, because nothing as trivial as this is likely to get in the way of me treating myself to one of the few pleasures I get (Although I must stress that I never go out of the way to look), I still thought it was an interesting question, and look forward to seeing what people think.

Nah i'l look, i won't think twice and does no one any harm, thats the beauty of a fetish such as this, but also i belive there's levels to this, even for those who take a glance a pair of nice breasts as they wobble past. A quick glance is harmless, i think even if the person who was glanced at somehow knew... I don't think they'd care that much, however, if you were to stop in the street and stare.. Or sneak around for a better spot to spy from... Then your taking it to a whole different level. And you become creepy. You have to remember that to most people with regular sexual tendencies we're collectively as weird as people who are 'into' feces, to use your lovely example (And by the way cheers, I was right in the middle of eating a crumpet when I read that!).

I am not ashamed to admit I look repeatedly at exposed feet if they're on display, occaisionally shifting to get a better view (not grabbing the binoculars or anything) but I'm never caught. What's the difference between me the foot gazer and the guy who stares at the tits? Neither of us ask permission!

Good question, I think that within the context of a tickling fetish we may look at feet the way people who are so called mainstream may look at breast. And well we would never designate mainstream taste as perverted. We say its healthy. So no I dont think most here are foot pervs. On the other hand if you had some repulsive drooling low life running amuck stealing womens shoes, well yeah that person would fit the profile of a foot perv. I think tickling is finally out in the open with sites like this, but this is all still young and new. Lots of us are still very very self conscience. Perhaps in a few years when we get our bearings and find our place in the pantheon of alternate lifestyles, then we will be able to look at things a little more clearly.

I define perversion..

as a differing interest from the general population. So, by that definition, I am perverted.

However, as perversions go, I feel very "tame" compared to some of the other fetishes and sexual interests I've seen on TV and the Net.

And if one were to read "The Sex Life of the Foot and Shoe" by William Rossi, one would begin to understand the HISTORICAL normalcy of this fetish/partialism that so many men AND women enjoy from a giving and/or receiving point of view....remember for every fetishist, there will be at least one willing and enamoured beneficiary.

To look at a foot is no different than to look at a butt or an eye or a breast...it just happens to be lower on the body. HOW we look is an important issue...are we looking with respect for that person or contempt or in spite of them? Are we seeking to "get something" from them without their consent or are we appreciating, sexually, sensually or conceptually, and just moving on. We can creep someone out just by the energy we give off without even looking at them, so what's the energy we radiate at the time of connection?

And to simplify it all, to answer directly, in the negative sense of the word "perverted":

Hell NO! I'm a wonderfully perfect, balanced human being like the rest of us who happens to get "value-added" when certain shoe styles are worn....or not.

Oh, please, we really are NOT looked on as being as perverted as Scat fetishists.
They might look on it as being a little weird, but most people just go, "well, whatever turns you on, it's cool". Whereas if you remembered all the reactions to 2 girls 1 cup...no, it's not viewed as being the same...

In answer to the OP, I'm not a "foot" guy, so I can't really comment. But we are only as perverted as society deems us to be, and there are/were societies that dictate that the feet are attractive.

We are only as "perverted" as we decide we are. Other people's ideas shouldn't (but often do) enter into it. If someone calls you a cow, you don't grow udders and produce milk. Likewise, our pervertedness lives IN us as our own ideas..and we make it positive or negative, value it goodly or badly. And, again, the Rossi book I mentioned above lays it out REALLY well...it has been human historical fact that the foot is a sensual, sexual expressor of eroticism and receptor of erotic attention. Read it and weep - for joy, peoples!

Let's revel in our wonderful tendencies....if I'm a perv, then that reflects WELL on pervs everywhere and I have the distinct feeling that if we decide to embrace that term fully, then pervy-ness will be a quality to aspire to....foot people are some of the most sensitive and caring people I have EVER met and I've met ALOT of people, kinky and otherwise,...played with alot of people.
