Now that the playoffs are here, I decided to adopt a slight change in the way picks are made. With only a few games being played, one tiebreaker could lead to a mess, and I wanted to keep things interesting.
Picks will be made the same way, but total points must be picked for EACH GAME. There are a few reasons for this. There are bound to be several players picking the same amount of games right, so we need to give everyone a chance. This will show how good people really are at picking the outcome of games. This will also give those with no wins or only one or two a real chance at catching up, or for those in the lead to clinch.
What I will do first (obviously) is tally the correct picks. In the event of ties, only the players involved in the ties will have thier score predictions tallied from all games that week. (Even the ones not picked correctly.) The one with the lowest differential TOTAL will win the week. IE: you cannot win a week by picking no games right but getting the total scores dead-on. (Unless of course everyone picks no games right.) So, you need to think carefully when picking scores, as missed picks might decide the outcome of a week.
I feel that this will level the playing field and give these rounds the importance that the games themselves have.
If there are any questions, PLEASE post them to this thread before this weekend.
Good Luck Everyone! 😎
