For the Braves. Best:

Dave Justice's sixth inning homer off Jim Poole, Game 6, 1995 World Series, giving the Braves their only run of the game, and enabling them to win the 1995 World Series.

Dave Justice's 9th inning homer off Rob Dibble, 1991 late season, enabling the Braves to erase a 6-0 deficit in a critical regular season game down the stretch, which would ultimately lead to them winning the 1991 National League West.

Worst:

Jim Leyritz's homer off Mark Wohlers, Game Four, 1996 World Series, which enabled the Yankees to tie the game at 6-6, in a game the Braves had led 6-0, and would lead to the Yankees turning around the 1996 World Series, after being down two games to none.

Ed Sprague's homer off Jeff Reardon, Game Two, 1992 World Series, which would erase a Braves lead, and would prevent them from taking a two game to none lead in the 1992 World Series. Instead, the Jays were able to tie the Series 1-1, and would go on to win the 1992 World Series in Six Games.

Others?

Best home run for the Dodgers:
Kirk Gibson hits a walk-off home run (with two outs on a 3-2 count) in the bottom of the ninth in game one of the 1988 World Series, turning a 4-3 deficit into a 5-4 victory.

It can be seen as #10 here: http://mlb.mlb.com/network/games_airdates/
PS: The Dodgers went on to win the 1988 World Series.

Worst home run for the Dodgers: Bobby Thompson's home run off Ralph Branca wins the 1951 NL pennant for the putrid motherfucking hated jints bastards.
PS: The Yankees won the 1951 World Series.

Thanks, ,mils. That was a great moment in Dodgers history, and in baseball history.

Milagros a few miles from where I live is a Ralph Branca Drive, In Ulster County NY.

He did have a fine career as a pitcher with the Dodgers and I don't condemn him for giving up a home run on that occasion.

I'm a Braves fan like Mitch so here it goes

Best: Andruw Jones in Game 1 of the 1996 World Series, hitting homers in his first two at bats in Yankee Stadium. At 19 years old, Andruw was the youngest player in MLB history to homer twice in one WS game. Sadly the Yankees won the World Series 4 games to 2

Honorable Mention: Opening day 2010, Jason Heyward goes yard in his first career at bat

Worst: Lance Berkman's grand slam in Game 4 of the 2005 NLDS. With the Braves leading 6-1 Berkman smashes a grand slam before the Astros won it in extras, eliminating the Braves from the playoffs

Interesting choices, NC. I remember the first choice you had like it was yesterday. I was thrilled that the Braves won that first game of the 1996 WS/

The second choice you had.. is a bit.. fuzzy for me. Then again, that's probably because the Braves were in the playoffs so often from 1991 to 2005, that its hard to remember every homer in every situation.

Game 6, 1977, Yankees 8 Dodgers 4, Reggie hits 3 to beat the Dodgers 4 games to 2...2004 game 7 Damon's two home runs stick out, Red Sox sweep the Yanks after being down 0- 3 games.

Honestly, I wish I were fuzzy on the 2005 homer as well. Really not a good memory for me lol

Best home run- 4 words- George Brett, pine tar (1983)
Honorable mention- 1989 All star game -Bo Jackson 2nd pitch of the game

Worst home run- Chris Chambliss homer to win game 6 and the 1976 ALCS beating a Royals team that won 90 games for the best record in team history up to that point.

You live in NY but you're a Braves fan? I'm an Orioles fan and unfortunately there haven't been too many memorable O's HR's lately. The worst I remember was the Jeffrey Maier Home Run in the 96 ALCS. That was clearly fan interference but that gutless punk Richie Garcia called it a HR and the game was tied, eventually won by the Yanks in extra innings. That blown call is on every baseball list as one of the 10 worst post season calls in MLB umpiring history

The ironic part about that WS is that I truly believe that 95 Indians team was maybe the best team never to win a Championship, and they were the only team the Braves could beat in the WS. I mean look at their lineup. You had Albert Belle, Roberto Alomar, Carlos Baerga, Manny Ramirez, Jim Thome, Eddie Murray, Kenny Lofton. And except for Murray, all those players were young(of course some of them may have been juicing). I can't believe the Indains w/all that talent never won a WS. Just goes to show, even in the 'roid era, good pitching beats good hitting.

Yes, I've been a Braves fan for over 30 years, magic fingers, when I've lived in the NYC area, and also when I lived in PA for 13 years from 1999 to 2012. I don't like the Mets, Yankees, or Phillies. I got into the Braves in the 80s from them being on TBS cable every night, and I was a fan even when they were in last place in the 80s, long before the 14 straight division titles from 1991 to 2005.
