the left is a size 5.5 us and the right is 6.0. I found this out by going to the orthotic shoe store across the way to have them measured. They even made a 'chart' on me. lol. I loved the experience of putting my foot in that measuring thing. Hm. What is that thing called anyway?

Some cool but relatively useless trivia...
The measuring thing with the little slide pieces and all the numbers is called a Brannock Device. It was invented in 1927 by Charles Brannock of Syracuse, NY and has changed little since then.

Depending on the style and manufactuer, I've been known to wear anywhere from a size 5 1/2 wide to a 7 wide.

No matter what though, it has to be a wide.
