For the young'ns. What was the first music video you remember seeing?

Mine had to be "Take on Me" by A-Ha. My parents told me they let me watch MTV as a baby because I was fascinated by all of the bright colors. Crazy hippies.

I wasn't allowed to watch MTV as a kid, but I remember being about nine years old and my sister watching it and the first music video I remember seeing was Mmmbop by Hanson. Not one of my prouder memories 😀.

That was about the same time I started watching because my parents were pretty conservative when I was younger. I'd say that was 1996/97, and those years turned out to be my favorite as far as music and entertainment are concerned.

The first video I remember seeing was Metallica featuring Marianne Faithful- "The Memory Remains."

I'm not sure if at 24 I can be classed as a young'n any more, but my first video memory has to be Queen's I want to break free, just cause it's fuckin' weird! I mean going from a cross-dressing soap opera spoof to lycra ballet. Only Freddy Mercury...
