How stupid are you? Just because McMahon and crew says that's when the character "Mr. McMahon" was born, it doesn't mean that's when the "character" took off. Notice they never talk about calling him "Mr. McMahon" right after the Montreal incident. That's when the whole notion of Vince showing himself as the owner of the company on TV came about. Not the "ruthless, my nuts are as big as grapefruits, strut like a peacock" character appeared. Were you paying attention?

How about you do this? Why don't you find the footage of when Vince McMahon actually started calling himself "Mr. McMahon" on television? Until Stone Cold started messing with Vince, he still called himself "Vince McMahon" on TV. He didn't start acting like the "evil" owner until his confrontation with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Do your freakin' homework, although I would have to commend you on finding that tidbit.

Oh yeah, it must burn you up watching the superstars agreeing that "Bret screwed Bret". HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Just remember, Bret became NOTHING after leaving WWE. Nobody cared when he was in WCW. Yet, McMahon just keeps on plugging away....

Hahahaha, not it doesn't. Notice no Mick Foley, notice no Undertaker. You know why? Because they didn't agree with what Vince did. Hearing an As kisser like Big Show, and a spunk gurgaler like Triple H agree with Vince doesn't affect me at all. Bret became nothing after going to WCW, because WCW didn't know how to book him right. He should have been puched right to the top with the momentum they had after the screw job, but they were to stupid to use it. You are right about one thing, McMahon keeps plugging away, right up your ass with bad programing, thats why he needs to do a Million $ give away to bribe viewers to watc his death trap of a company.
 
Or maybe Bret wasn't shit in WCW because ZOMG Bischoff knew he was a product of previous aspect of wrestling and no longer relevant in the Attitude Era of Professional Wrestling other then being a "name" to steal from the competition.

Since you felt like thumping your chest and thinking you're great, could you please find the footage that shows Vince calling himself "Mr. McMahon" before his rivalry with Stone Cold Steve Austin? Could you find the footage that shows McMahon with the strut, the who complete egotistical manner of what we know now of the "Mr. McMahon" character before his run in with Austin? YOU WON'T because it didn't happen until his rivalry with Austin.

If WCW "misbooked" Bret Hart, then I guess McMahon did him a huge favor by making Bret Hart a star. If it wasn't for Vince, then Bret would be "just another wrestler". Yet, Vince is such a bad guy....

Like everyone else has told you repeatedly, GET OVER THE SCREW JOB. Now, back to your hole....

Hahah.. Well while I don't know what the heck yous are talking about, I have always seen McMahon the way he is now. I DO remember the whole Austin thing.. and that is HONESTLY when I remember him beginning to act like a megalomaniac. But, either way.. The WWE would most likely be boring to me without him being that way.

What Primetime means by civil is that you agree with him, as long as you go along with his view he sees you as ok, but if you don't then he thinks you an idiot... even if you're right.

I've never denied Vince did a great job promoting Bret, he is really good at that, thats part of why he is a billionair. However Bret doesn't owe him anything, because if he hadn't made Vince money in the past then he wouldn't have offered him 1 million a year for 20 year to keep him. Vince made Bret a star, but it wasn't just for the fun of doing it, it was because he knew Bret could make him money if he did it. Guess what, the raiting were higher with Bret as champ then they were with Nash or HBK, in fact during those Shawn's run as Champ was when WCW started it's 84 week run in the #1 spot.

Hart was involved in major angles, with him being nwo or not and then his feud and subsequent retirement with goldberg

But both companies were that way. They stole names from ecw and figured that it would equal ratings and didnt realize it was the work, not the name that got them over

By the way, their were many time when the WWF could have played up Bret more, like after a great match with Nash at Survivore Serries where he became champ for the 3rd time, or his kick as match with the Bulldog at In Your House, but they were to buisy over looking somebody the people already liked to push Shawn down their throats. Then after he won the title at WrestleMania 11 (I got it this time) the raitings fell behind WCW for the 2nd time (they fell with Nash as champ too.). Come to think of it, it's hard to place a none white or none American that has held the title for more then 8 months at a time isn't it. Hell the Rock was one of the most popular guys in the company, and I don't even think he was champ for more then 6-8 months. You know it just dawned on me that the ENTIRE Additude era was chacked full of these FILLER champs as you like to call them.

Lets see

Bruno held the title twice for 5 years
Bob Backlund held it for 6 years (actualy he lost it once to Atonio Anoki but it's not on an official WWF/WWE record)
Hogan Held it for 3 years the first time.

That means since Hogan McMahon hasn't felt anybody could really cary his company for a long period of time. Wow I guess the term Filler Champion isn't so bad after all.

Actually, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H and the Rock's reigns during the "Attitude" era are legit. The "Attitude" era was a major era in all of wrestling history. Yes, I would consider a bunch of the guys now "filler" champions, until the next "legendary" wrestler shows up.

You ned to stop. The more you open your trap, the more Bret Hart's career looks bad. Right now, you are representing his career because your whole argument is founded on Bret Hart's career andhis interactions with McMahon. Plus Bret Hart was also a whiny person, so you and your hero have a lot in common. But I will give Bret credit. He was a tremendous in-ring performer and he has the balls to work with this so called "evil" owner again. He had a front row seat to McMahon's "evilness" as you like to put it and he STILL is working with him again. Says a lot about your character doesn't it? If your hero can work with him again, and he was the one who was actually screwed, then why can't you just ignore the WWE and go away? Makes me wonder....
 
Let me just say this, I don't agree with Slaver on a lot things, but to try and add a little fairness to what he's saying...

Vince McMahon did something that was never really done, which was rip a championship away from someone just because he was jumping ship, I'm pretty sure if you ask any wrestling fans across the U.S. borderline they think and believe that Vince McMahon is the devil himself. To Slaver and other canadian wrestling fans or fans of Bret Hart there are and always will be two great villians of the world...

1. Vince McMahon
2. Shawn Michaels

Now to Primetime's point to show fairness andd to show Im not on anyone side...

He feels that enough time has passed to where everyone should just move on from what happened in 1997, Vince only did what he felt was right to protect his company which may or may not have been the right thing. I hate the fact personally that Vince would go out of his way to help Paul Heyman and ECW with cross promotions but wouldn't do the same with Eric Bishoff and WCW and couldn't wait to destroy WCW when chance came, but I dont deny Vince McMahon isn't dumb when it comes to his product and giving second chances to guys (Ultimate Warrior) who may not have really deserved it.

Just trying to see both sides is I'm doing.

Maybe, if you're willing to admit that it was because of Vince's stagnet efforts to produce strong workers for him to work with and good story lines (with the exception of the "New" Hart Foundation angle). Not to mention the fact that Hart kept the companies head above water until McMahon decided to put the belt on Micheals and then over the following month the raiting went to shit and WCW became #1. I could compramise and with the "filler" thing, if you willing to except the fact that it's because of Vince being an lazy ass hole during the point in time.

I don't consider anything HHH did after hooking up with Steph legit. It's funny how you consider Stone Cold and the Rock lagit when niether of their runs with the big belt were more then 6-8 months at any time, and they are all American's. It just goes to prove my point. You call the Canadian guy a filler, but the filler American's are legit. The reason why the WWF was in a slump during Bret time at the top was because Vince didn't give a shit about what he was putting on TV until Turner's WCW was kicking his ass, and that didn't happen on Bret's watch it happend on HBK's run as champ.

I just read on a website that Steve Austin is one of the wrestlers that Hart still keeps in touch with . It came from Hart himself.... sorry ST
