For you Metal Fans ...

Depends on what one would consider 'Metal'.

Technically, Axl Rose could be thrown into the argument.

Trying my best to keep my choice confined to 'conventional metal' I'll say Hetfield from 'Metallica'.

But I also like Corey Taylor from 'Slipknot'... so...

I guess metal covers a lot.

I will go will the incomparable Mike Patton.

Rob Halford defined Heavy Metal with his screeching vocal style guys!!! :bouncybou

Rob Halford sang in falsetto.

My band opened a show up for him when he was with Fight. I think it was at the Stone Pony in New Jersey.

All I know is that he was a bag of douche just like that asshole Rob Zombie.

Very tough question. Seeing as there are many different types of metal with either grunting or screeching or just normal singing, I have to say there's no real answer to it.

But if I have to vote I'd say Bruce Dickinson.

I believe back in the day that they were considered metal.I've seen them many many times and it was always with heavy metal bands as the opening acts

He was a little pissy about the sound guy; it just came off a little douchey. Anthrax was there that night too; met all of the guys. The nicest group of guys that you would ever meet. Joey Belladonna was a little flakey though walking in with tea and lemon..lmao.

Wow! You opened up for Fight? That's cool! Still despite your personal bad experience with Halford you cannot deny his influence on the genre. As for Rob Zombie well ever since he remade that Halloween movie he's actually had death threats from hardcore horror movie fans who attend those horror conventions and have far too much time on their hands. That might be why he's testy these days. :domocute:

There is no denying that he was a major influence on many metal vocalists, including Phil Anselmo (who is as cool as shit, btw).

My band opened for White Zombie back in 1993, I believe it was before their 2nd album that had Thunderkiss 65' on it. He had no reason to be an asshole, he was nothing then. I believe the Halloween remake, which I thought was pretty good, was released in 2007.

Ah you opened for Zombie before the Halloween remake I see. Yeah I liked Halloween as well but you know how hecklers are. :sigh: Anyway that's really cool that your band opened up for these famous Metal act but a shame you had some bad experiences with some Metal icons. I actually heard that Phil Anselmo was really moody but you say different eh? Do you have any good stories of the legendary Dimebag? :headbang:

My brother drank with Pantera in Ontario and told me that they were all out of their minds.

I met Phil when he played with the band, Down; so I didn't get a chance to meet the other guys. Phil was kind of out of it, but he was very friendly. Had a few beers with him.

Coolest metal head out there, hands down, Scott Ian followed by (not sure if considered metal) Angelo Dr. MadVibe Moore of Fishbone.

That would be mr. John Michael Osbourne.
What Ozzy lacks in power and technique, he makes up for with soul.
