I see the NY Times missed this one!! ****cancels subscription**** I assume these people would live in houses without, carpet, pets, electric toothbrushes and of course they never bathe or have a fan blowing on them. Maybe watching the TMF would be primo aversion therapy. Worst jobs for these folks: porn star or foot model.

It would be interesting to know what kind of medical exam, test or qualification is used in determining if one is really disabled from this condition or just faking it to get benefits.

Would also be interesting to see case studies as to how or why this condition started and got to this extreme point. Seems I saw the name this phobia has awhile back but cannot recall it.

As far as the age of the thread...who cares. It seems to be an interesting subject now just as it was back then.
