Hey, I know that there are a few fans of the supernatural out there and this is one that I've actually seen...

http://dawghouse.topcities.com/michigan.html

"Paulding Lights, Paulding.
See below for location.

Thanks to Kate for writing, "Back in the woods a little way, if you live near there you know where to go, I am not quite sure. There is a mysterious light that shows up during the night, a red light, a green light or a large white one. It is said to be the spirit of an old train worker. Some other stories have been said about it too but that is the most common. No one knows the origin of the light, even Unsolved Mysteries gave up on it. If you are in the area ask around and check it out." The area where the Paulding Lights can be seen is a welcome mat to the public. The Michigan Forest Service has placed signs around the area to direct spectators to the best viewing spots. Robins Pond Road is four miles north Watersmeet off U.S. 45 south of Paulding. The lights can be seen all year around."

I've been out there a few times all when I lived up north... I actually saw the Unsolved Mysteries episode too... they were totally baffled.

oh yes. I Do kn ow where you are coming from kitten. I have posted here in another thread, about the amityville horror house. I live about 40 minutes away from it. And supernatural forces, are something i love to find out more about. And psychic abilities are another.

Where are you now, Kitten? Lazzy and I find ourselves near the Michigan UP a couple times a year when we visit his family up on lake Superior. You still in the UP, or have you moved south now?

To stay on topic, Lazzy and I both want to get licensed in paranormal investigation. We're both obsessed with the supernatural. I'd love to check this occurance out.

I used to live in Houghton, that is way up in the Keweenaw. I lived there for seven years until recently when I relocated to the hole that people refer to as Saginaw.

THe Paulding Light is pretty darn cool, I recommend it.

In my dads old house his aunt Lucy died who lived there. A week after they buried her strange things began happening. Lights and other appliances would be turned on or off mysteriously, sometimes they would hear a voice calling out to my grandmother and other stuff which escapes my memory at the moment. The scariest thing was one night when my dad returned home from work and he looked at Aunt Lucys favorite rocking chair while everyone was asleep and all the doors and windows locked...THE CHAIR WAS ROCKING BACK AND FORTH!! Personally I would have ran faster then the Flash but my grandparents and father and uncles stayed. Strange how they never seem to like talking about it. You really have to drag those stories out of them.

I believe in hauntings(at least the possibliity of hauntings) I still the Amityville horror house was a hoax.

I do believe in supernatural forces, myself. And for some reason I enjoy watching supernatural programs and movies, even though they scare me like crazy. I still get scared from the movie Poltergiest! :scared:

But I guess it is our human nature of being curious to those things that we can't understand or seem to be beyond us. That constant search for knowledge is probably what drives us to seek out supernatural events so that we can try and fathom what they are about. I know I would like to be a part of some ghost searching expedition. I just don't know how I would react if something actually happened!

Do tell steph... you know I love the haunted stuff as much as you!

The house was built in the 60s and at least one person has died in it, an old man. For some bizarre reason, guys who come to the house for parties, etc. claim to see the shadow of a man pass outside the guest bath window at night. I've never seen him. I only hear things. In one of the guest bedrooms, you can hear the sound of a very faint party. I've a set of windchimes that a friend brought back for me when he went to Hong Kong. They hang in the front entryway and occasionally jingle when there's no breeze. I like to open the front door but I'm a paranoid freak so I always lock the screen door. Several times while watching TV (I can't see the door from there) I've heard the screen open and then close. :shake: But I'm not afraid, even though everyone else is. I've owned the place for 7 years~I figure if whatever it was wanted to hurt me, it would have by now. It seems to me that it's more of a prankster than anything else. Kind of fitting considering, huh?

XOXO
