We have a weekly show called "ingeniously off-target" (Genial Daneben) on German TV. Five comedians must try to explain expressions from everday's language or from some special terminology. Being comedians, they often deliver side-splittingly hilarious explanations and comments. Here's an example:
They were to explain what doctors mean by "a false friend". They failed, so the show master told them: It is a fart which is involuntarily accompanied by some excrements. Doctors call this "a false friend" (it can have medical causes).
One of the comedians commented: "I'd call that 'a fart with its own real-estate!'" 😛
BTW: The comedians can't win anything in this game. The prize of € 500 (about $ 600) goes to the person who had sent in the question, if the quiz team can't find the answer within a reasonable time-span.
Have you got a similar show in the States? Just curious, as most German TV shows are only weak copies of US formats.
