Hey everyone.
Just a heads up. All banks offer online banking now, and if you don't have it, sign up for it, for your own protection.
I have online banking, and just on a whim, decided to check my account online.
It showed that I had a "hold" on my account this morning, for $1,522.86, overdrawing the account.
I immediately called the customer service number, and it turns out that some heifer got my debit card number, and was trying to charge 6 Coach bags to my account.
The funds didn't actually leave yet, so I was able to freeze my account, and close my card. I also went to the Coach website, and got a customer service number, and called them. They are refusing the purchases, so I'm not losing my money.
If you guys are not making a habit of this, you should check your balance EVERY day online, so if something suspicious happens, you can catch it right away.
