Gags and tickling

Please help me understand the appeal of tickling someone whose gagged?

Again, I'm enjoying these questions that are forcing me to be introspective. I'd say I enjoy tickling someone without being gagged more, but I definitely get in the mood for gagged tickling sometimes. I love laughter so much, so I completely understand why more seem to enjoy never using gags. For me, gags do the following:

• While laughter is beautiful, the sounds made through a gag can be very attractive to me as well. It forces a different, more vulnerable form of auditory expression.
• When being tickled, the ticklish energy has to come out in one form or another. Whenvocalization is suppressed, it tends to come out stronger in other expressions (e.g. wiggling, struggling, spasms, tension, etc). Sometimes I like to see those enhancements at the cost of vocalization. Much like how sometimes people want the opposite: total immobilization to enhance vocalization (which I also love).
• For some, tickling others is a very empathic experience. I know what it's like to be brutally tickled and I enjoy it a lot. When I tickle someone else, I love feeling like I'm living their experience. I pick up on their energy and vulnerability. When gagged, it enhances some of those qualities. For most lees, you can feel their vulnerability heighten, and their overall expressive energy change. It's deeply satisfying to connect to.
• There is an aesthetic appeal to me for some gags. It highlights the submissive nature in the lee role.
• Lastly, it's not all about me. Sometimes the lee is not just okay with a gag, but prefers one. If that's the case, I'm going to have more fun just knowing they're having more fun. Some lees like that enhanced sense of vulnerability a gag affords, and I love that they love it. It's similar to how a lot of lees like sensory deprivation.

I'm sure there are more reasons that aren't coming to mind, but I hope that helps!

I find myself forgetting that being gagged and such can be euphoric for the lee. I generally assumed it’s for the ler’s pleasure in most cases.

when they are being tickled a person NEEDS to be able to express themself like its a core biological need to cry out in that uncontrollable hysterical laughter we all know and love, so if they cant get it out and they cant appeal to you in any way to make sure u know how ticklish it is for them then maybe they get more desperate?

Not a big fan of gags either, but some masochistic Lees do want them for total surrender and inability to escape the tickle torture.
Maybe you cant always make it out, but a super frantic, frenzied LEE can make the words intelligible enough with the right 'encouragement' !😈


I certainly agree that the Lee has a reflexive biologic need to vocalize, or thrash their head ( to release some of the ticklish pressure that they are having to endure!
Holding their head still, (and making them only focus eyes forward , and looking at a tickler's eyes)...or a gag but even better is the intimacy of a hand temporarily over their mouth ! preventing them from the NEED for the expression will make them super frenzied, I believe ...Who hasn't at least seen video of a subject silenced by a hand over the mouth? The eyes widen and bug out in a new level of CRAVING to communicate their deep and profound ticklishness! The same idea of attaining silent laughter where they cant verbalize their needs any longer but can use their wonderfully expressive "Im tickled to the max/PLEASE YOU GOTTA STOP eyes ! hee hee hee

I like how they look and sound. Why? Cus they look and sound submissive to me. I like to see and hear that from a woman.

All entitled to likes and dislikes. Part of appeal of tickling to me is the ticklee being absolutely helpless to do anything about it (consensual non-consent, of course). Bondage makes that happen, of course. But we see blindfolds and one could ask "what is the appeal of blindfolds?" It's another layer of helplessness or bondage, taking away the right to see when or where it is coming and heightening senses.
Gag is one other element of helplessness. Now, gags are like silencers on guns ON REAL LIFE. They do NOTHING to stifle sound or reaction at all. But to a submissive ticklee, the thrill of feeling like their begs would be unintelligible can really excite (and same for lers who love for their lee to feel the "no one can hear you beg/scream for mercy on space" feeling even though they can be heard.

Factor in tickle play isn't always on a vacuum. It can be part of a larger D/s bondage scene and we don't question gags in bondage for spanking/whipping/roasting/bastinado scenes, etc.

I wish people would say "they aren't what I'm into" instead of shouting "WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO SILENCE LAUGHTER??!".

I wouldn't say it's ridiculous for someone to be extremely excited hearing unbridled verbal reactions to intense tickling. It tends to be a trigger for most of us.*

Besides, that's a whole different discussion about whether the verbal reaction to ticking IS laughter (whether enjoying or not).

*Though I can say there are a number of tickle models who I LOVE 'seeing' get tickled but they are pure screamers and the volume of that turns me off. But if they were gagged (comfortably, consensually, and safely, of course), I would sense the exact same reactions but with less of a headache on the process.

As a lee its my personal preference to wear one.
My mindset when being tickled is that of complete vulnerability and submission. So lots of restraints, blindfold and gags add to this feeling of total helplessness. Sometimes gets taken up a notch with a sensory deprivation hood.

As above people have said its all personal preference and there is no right or wrong answers.

There's the feeling of powerlessness when you're not able to cry for help or beg for mercy. Also if you're gagged but you can still say things like "no" or "please" your ler gets to play dumb. For example, you can be crying out a muffled "please" and they'll say "please what? please keep going? well if you insist! 😊"
