I am praying as well Mils! I think the Giants pose the Phillies greatest threat in the playoffs, even more so than anyone they might meet in the AL for the World Series. The Giants top 3 pitchers (Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez) stack up well against the Phils' big 3 (H2O). And the Giants lineup is much improved from the beginning of the season. A rejuvenated Pat Burrell who will be anxious to stick it to the Phils faithful, a spark plug in Cody Ross, and probably the NL ROY in Buster Posey. The Phillies are still the favorites but the Giants definitely can not be overlooked. Should be a great series!

I saw this and I had to join in...

Phillies bats have to start cranking again. Luck and pluck are good things to have, but we wouldn't have won the second Cincinnati game without THEIR help.

The Phillies can indeed crush. However, they can indeed go glacier fucking cold as well, that's proven. I just hope this isn't one of those times.

Meanwhile, Milagros' Hated Jints have been relying a little bit too much on a guy who plays for a different team every year-Aubrey Huff. Offensive dynamos they're clearly not.

Lincecum is going to have a lot of rest, because he doesn't have to pitch tonight against the Braves. Nine days, I believe.

Although the Phillies offense is much better than the Giants, this should be a series dominated by pitching.

Philly should beat the Giants.. but.. with so many underdogs winning postseason series, I take nothing for granted. I think it will be a great series, and may well go the full seven games, with all that pitching, so my pick is Phillies in Seven.
