Games With Good Local Co-Op?

I haven't completed the game yet, but from what I've seen, you can recruit one NPC to accompany you, but they're pre-existing characters, and you have to meet them first.

Well nutbunnies. Oh well, maybe they'll come out with another action / RPG that mimics the party system for a single player.

Hmmm...does anyone know a Final Fantasy Tactics-type of game that allows local player co-op?

I tried doing a search but got nothing solid. Seeing as it's in the same vein as Bayonetta, though, I doubt it - I think they'd have made a bigger deal of it if it had couch coop. :/ Might be a good hotseat game, though!

God I wish they'd come out with a X-Men Legends 3 for the PS4 with both local co-op and web-co-op! I heard an internet rumor that we'd possibly be seeing a remake of TMNT III: The Manhattan Project as well as classic Golden Axe and Street of Rage (aka Bare Knuckle in Japan). I'm guessing this is false but I deep down totally hope it's true. Those games had the best co-op. 😀
