Ok, sorry for that title, I was just trying to sound scientifical, yanno?

Now over the years I've met and conversed with many a ticklephile online and in r/t, and I've been shocked on more than one occasion to hear that many of us have gone through extensive periods, sometimes years, (in some cases including adolescence), without tickling or being tickled. And I don't mean long sessions, just even the occasional poke amongst friends, etc. There has always been an abundance of tickle happenings in my life, whether family, friends, school, work or whatever. I always thought this was normal until I spoke to others. I've spent most of my life in California, northern to be exact, and it seems as though others from this area relate similar experiences. So I'm wondering if geography or socio-political climate might have anything to do with tickle opportunities? Yes, no, maybe so? What has your experience been and where are you from?

CT here

While I currently live in CT, I'm originally from uptate NY...just moved to CT a year anda half ago. I, for one, have NEVER been at a loss for opportunities. 😀 Maybe it has more to do with the type of community?...how open people are in general?

'lee vs 'ler?

I've never really had the type of dry spell you've described either, and that's from the 'ler side, which seems to me to be more difficult to execute..😉 Geographically I've lived all over upstate NY from Albany over to Buffalo, and quite a while now on Long Island. Maybe I got Jan while I was living in her area? If I didn't it wasn't from lack of trying! Q

At the NEST Gatherings, I have tiny little stick-on feet that are given to the guests and a huge wall map of the US. There is a huge collection of Northeasterners on it. Now the obvious reason for that is that NEST is in Philadelphia, and close to where they live (even if they flew in). But I was told once by Jeff (a while back) that a large portion of videos that he sold, at that time, were in the Pennsylvania area. Maybe it really IS in the water?

hmmmm..

Maybe Phili's nickname should be the city of tickley love?

dunno really, i think that most ppl have the passive tickling. like messing around playfull poke etc - but as for tickling sessions, like the ones you read about on the stories we all have - they are rarer!

i have to say that i consider myself a knowledgable person in this area of fetish - and many others, however i have always kept my fetish to myself. even with past girlfriends etc... i havent been to any gatherings (living in the UK is harder to find them.) so i have missed out in a way... up to yet!

oh well.

Upstater as well...

Originally from Upstate New York, currently in Northeastern PA, and I've had a general abundance of tickling throughout the last few years of my life. Never enough, mind you, but some. 😉

long island here.......

i`ve never really had a cold streak regarding ticking.....it seems every time i`m with friends i always a girl to tickle in some way shape or form. 😎

Dry Spell

I'm from Huntington Beach in Southern CA. I tend to suffer dry spells in the area of tickling in intervals of months alot of the time. Other times it seems to be extremley abundant. However I've never been in a relationship where I was completley open about it. All the women that I've had as friends kind of know me as a bit of a tickle monster and that's about it. There is also the issue of uncertainty and I think that's what it really boils down to. You are always a little uncertain and afraid as to whether or not it's appropriate to tickle at that point in time. You also don't want to lose control and tickle to much when the 'lee may not really enjoy it. The area that I live in might have a little somthing to do with it. I'm kind of the poor boy in the rich neighborhood so to speak. Alot of the woman I meet in social situations have a cockyarrogantmyshitdon'tstink kind of attitude. Not really towards me, but just in general. I get turned off by bad personalities and there are plenty of them to go around in my area. None the less, it's usually an internal issue of confidence that really allows you to have those opportunities to spot the situations and take advantage of them. BTW...much respect to you and your site Terrorizer. Ive enjoyed it for a good many years.

I'm in California, in the Silicon Valley, and spent most my life here. I've experienced lots of tickling, from lots of sources, and have had nearly all of the lovers from here be very accepting of this interest.

Many thanks for the kind words, 46and2.

Oddly enough, back in jr high and high school, I tended to shy away for similar reasons. Every few months, it was like an epidemic really, it just became the thing to sneak up on someone and try to tickle them silly. At least once a day you could hear some girl screaming from being gang tickled.... sometimes by guys, sometimes by girls! In non-intimate situations though, I almost never participated, because I just never wanted to be the one to take "too far." Hence, I tended to tickle a whole lot less than getting tickled. Of course, that was alright too! hehe
