You could always move over here, become a resident, and vote for yourself

I do believe we have a winner here! I've always said, if you don't like it here, there are plenty of other places to live.

Having said that, BUSH SUCKS!

I'd be happy to accomadate you, Sunday, but unfortunately, my vote only counts as one.

Our system doesn't work that way. You can't vote anybody OUT of office. You can only vote people INTO office. So whom would you like us to vote INTO office? John Kerry? Well, the upside to having Kerry in the presidency is that if somebody tries to assasinate him with a shot in the head, his hair will protect him, I guess. Other than that, I can't find any use for the man whatsoever.

Well that hair might come in handy because, unlike Bush, Kerry has a brain to protect. It wouldnt do much good to aim for Bush's chest either, seeing as how he doesnt have a heart.

I belive I will agree with the poster here. I absolutely cannot stand another four years with Bush. No one can convince me that if he stays, he won't just make a bigger mess.

However, Kerry is really cut from similar cloth. He won't do much better. But, my cat is better than keeping Bush in office. I would change my mind if he allowed the troops to get out of the Middle East and send them back home to their families.

This is highly unlikely to happen anytime soon.

We didn't vote him IN in the first place. Direct your complaints to Messrs. Scalia, Thomas, Rehnquist, et al., please.

Sunday...you fix YOUR government...then talk about ours....😉

Excellent point, Mr. Shem, and I couldnt agree more. Let's hope that the voters right the wrong of the kangaroo (Ahem!) sorry! "Surpreme" (Gag) court come November.

Mitch

Venray, I have to agree that Kerry is not the Democrats perfect choice for President, but I'll be voting for him anyway. I cant bring myself to ever pull the lever for that man sitting at 1600 PA Ave in Washington that they call a "president"

Mitch

Nope Edwards would have been the perfect choice..would have voted for him myself...but...ANYONE who has a close relationship with the other Senator from Mass...with his dubious background at best...well, anyone who pals around with puppetmaster Teddy will not get a vote from me...last thing we need is to give THAT lout more political influence than he already has.....

Hell...I'd vote for GORE before Kerry....🙄

I agree with you about Edwards, ray. I wanted him myself. I think the Dems made a huge mistake, and I hope they dont pay for it come November. I'll still be voting for Kerry though, because, perfect ot not, he's not Bush and to me thats all that counts.

Mitch

I am afraid it will hurt them in November, Mitch...the majority of Americans that arent saying anything right now will vote for Bush.

They will leave him there to fix what is apparently broken as they will not have faith that John Kerry will be able to do anything but make it worse....

I am sorry that Edwards didnt get more support from the party. As a registered Independent voter, I and others like me could have been swayed to take a chance on him. I like his style and his honesty. It is refreshing to see that in a politician...perhaps the very reason he didnt get that support....😉

I love it when other people tell us how to run our government. I'm so sorry George Bush is making you upset. How about I come over there and give you a cotton candy as well? Because we all know that you personally are more important than some silly free world.

My vote will go to George Bush, the only person with any gonads.

So, gonads are the most important thing on a president. And what does having gonads mean; you start wars, hate women and gays, blow our budget, do a lot of coke and booze, and use your executive privelege to cause any kind of blatant corruption you please

Oh you love it do you? Well consider what the fuck your government's "operation iraqi freedom" is.

HE IS MAKING LOTS OF PEOPLE UPSET.

The fact is, if you vote Bush back in, the Eastern world will have no choice but to believe that your whole country wholeheartedly condones the spectacular fuckup that is “operation Iraqi freedom”. I say “eastern world” but you have no idea how bad it looks to our country, let alone Iraq, when, in the middle of one of the most shameful political scandals in your country’s history, Bush is making celebrity appearances at football games in a bomber jacket and tight jeans – We’re practically chewing our fists off with embarrassment ffs! What you have to understand is that this man represents you, and the vast majority of the world detests him with a passion. I can report that there is now a frankly disturbing level of anti-Americanism rife throughout this country alone, never mind your “enemies”.

Despite what you may think, my opinion does count because it’s a comparatively levelheaded one in a sea of billions turning against your country like a black tide.

I expect you think that was a devastating comment?

You are the bane of your country.

Stand by you man(iac),
And show the world you love him..

Hmmm.... What can I say that hasn't already been said in this thread?

The simple fact of the matter is that Bush is a fucking idiot. Then again, a lot of Americans are fucking idiots, so you could argue that Bush is doing a good job of representing them. Anyway, Dean would've been the best choice for the Democrats, but of course, the conservatives were too afraid of his so-called "radical" nature. So what if he got excited at a rally? I'd much rather have a guy in office with a little emotion and who actually wants to remove much of the corporate corruption of our system rather than a guy who was born with everything and earned nothing. And no, the latter I'm talking about is Bush, not Kerry. Sure, Kerry might be quite affluent himself, but at least he knows what he's doing. Only a true pessimist could assume that Kerry would do a worse job than Bush. As time goes by, Bush #2 will probably be remembered as an even worse president than Nixon.

bush vs kerry in november?hmm not alot of options. Maybe i will sit this one out.🙄

Macphisto makes a good point. My mom wanted Dean as well. The problem with Dean was that he was too outspoken, and people were afraid there would be real change. Her next choice was Edwards, but again, I guess it would have been too much change. She's not fond of Kerry, calling him a Washington insider, but will vote for him in an attempt to get Bush out of there.
This county I'm living in irritates me to no end. There are hard working middle class people here, who vote for Bush, even though he will do nothing either tax wise, or otherwise, to benefit them. There is one guy I know in particular who is just an absolute moron. He never listens to any political debate or any issue, and just pulls the lever for Bush for no reason, simply because thats what his friends do, and it's tradition, and the guy is in his 60s!
Although I detest Bush and his policies, and I strongly disagree with anyone who votes for him, if someone can give me a valid reason WHY they vote for him, then even if I dont like the reason or him, I have to accept it, as it is others rights to do so. When I was in college, one of my primary history professors always said "If you dont know why you do something, you dont know anything" and he would never allow us to answer a question off the top of our heads without telling him why. If one votes for Bush because they are pro-life, pro war, for lower taxes, etc, then fine. I accept it even if I dont agree with it. I know this one guy who does it just because his friends do, which is moronic, and shows his level of intelligence as being zip. To me, it is important that when one casts their vote, they do it with strong conviction, anti Bush or pro, and not just do so haphazardly or without knowing why. This election is too important, and the issues too grave, to waste ones vote by doing that.

Mitch

Just want to add that although I've made a couple of quite anti-American posts recently, I'm not exactly proud of our government either. ok I'm done now 🙂
