Godiva won 3rd place at Passive Arts Costume contest.

I know Godiva does not post here, but some the LA crew has met her as she has been to the last three events at Passive Arts. But anyway, her gorgeous gold belly dance outfit won her third place in the costume contest. She won the new soundtrack to the re-release of Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas" AND a year's pass to the DV8s at Passive Arts And oh yeah, she is going to use it.

First place winner had a working chainsaw, we think that is why he won.

Lots of cool costumes too. Many were Fetish Friendly

On the way home, we were laughing cuz we could not remember. I mean Godiva was out dancing and all and had to be tracked down to go on stage and get her prizes. There was a "saloon girl who fought for a guy and lost" that was also awesome. I think she though Godiva might have been the other vixen cuz she kept shooting at her. But you know, Godiva is a goddess. She ain't going to fight for a guy. heheheehhehe

That's funny, now that you mention it, I have absolutely no idea who came in second.

Anyway, this may have seriously been the best DV8 I've been to so far. However, I sort of got tired of having to explain to everyone that I was not the devil, but a corrupted rock star who had sold out and become a corporate *****. Ah well, not enough U2 fans I guess.

Interesting factoid, polyester does not breathe well, when I took my button-up off, I discovered my undershirt had been dyed red.

Ah yes, proof that it is not always "he who has the most toys wins"...sometimes it's the man with the chainsaw. Power tools do have their place in society -- I just never thought of bringing one to a costume party before. Guess we learn something new every day. My congratulations to the fair lady Godiva. I recall the bellydancing costume; it definitely deserved recognition. Adieu! I'm off to more mischief...somewhere.
