Gratuitous Boobage in Videos, Fun or WTH?

This is a question I've been meaning to ask for years: in many videos, especially the Cal Star and others I was buying in the late '80's but I still see it all the time, frequently you'd see the females with their shirts hiked up in very strange (to me) ways so that much of their lower breasts were visible. Now I know that breasts are a lovely visual, and I'd imagine that it's sexy to have them 'accidentally' revealed, but does having them exposed in a very obvious BOOBS-in-your-face way like that really enhance a tickling scene? I'm all kinds of bisexual and adore a nice pair of breasts, but the bizarre way they're displayed in those scenes is always more of a distraction for me than a pleasure, as though the girl forgot her meds or something Or am I overly picky?

Although I never really paid it much thought. For me, it boils down to this:

I like women.
I like seeing women tickled.
Women have boobies.
Therefore, when seeing a woman tickled, I don't mind seeing boobies. : shrug :

I like a video where a girl kind of struggles and "accidently" falls out of her top. I think thats kinda naughty and fun. I like string bikini tops too. I do think the weird "what the heck happened to her shirt" is very distracting, it makes me wonder, what happened. I'm very picky though, I notice everything, from bad tattoos, to weird stuff in the background of pictures.

I don't have a problem with seeing boobies in any situation (of course 😈), but I will grant that there are times when it feels weird or unnecessary. That said, boobies also aren't a requirement for tickling clips in my view anyway, since many of my favourite videos feature girls who are fully clothed.

I think the 'odd' ways that breasts are occasionally shown could come from a few factors;
Lots of producers in the 80's came from straight porn backgrounds, and, not fully understanding the fetish market, perhaps didn't trust that a lack of breast exposure wouldn'tturn customers off. Also, producers will always have their own preferences, and tend to indulge them, however clumsily. After all, if you're not going to enjoy what you're doing....

I prefer clothed vids. So, let me just say that for starters. I have nothing against nudity. The human body is a beautiful thing. But, having it there simply for the sake of having it there....and especially staged rather than naturally occurring just does nothing for me. This is true whether it's a guy or gal.

Yes, T&A sells it for many folks. But, I much prefer a sense of reality on those rare occassions when I watch a vid. If someone gets slowly undressed by the ler as the scene progresses, that's one thing. That can actually be kinda hot. But, gratuitous "sneak peeks" as I call them, that are staged like that just cheapens things and kills the focus of the vid. It gives me the feel of a T&A vid that happens to have some tickling rather than the other way around. I've seen this in a variety of other contexts as well.

If producers are going to make tickling videos, they should be about tickling. Tossing in other material just to sell things turns me off and often sells tickling down the river, IMO. If the focus isn't on tickling, I don't think it should be called a tickle video. But, that's me. I'm not into watching all that other stuff and wouldn't view it for free much less buy it.

OTOH, if that's what sells and keeps them in business, it's a necessary "evil". I just think it can be done in a more classy way. Staging things gives them a cheesy feel that does nothing for me.

Amen! I was recently listening to an audio clip of an old interview with the legendary Yaqi. Something he said struck me as profoundly true: "I don't like where the tickling community is going. Now let me say, I have no problem with tickling mixed with sex; that's how I like sex off-camera, why wouldn't I like it that way on the screen? I only get squicked when it seems that tickling is only thrown in to get tk-philes to buy an otherwise vanilla sex clip, OR when the lovely bits are shown in a ridiculous way; hence my at the girl with her shirt half-up like she's been drinking.

Having a girl with a nice set of tits standing up being tickled like crazy, causing her to buck around and jump and thus causing her boobs to bounce up and down certainly isn't a bad thing. Hell, I don't even think boobs are utilized enough in tickle stuff, but that's a whole 'nother topic. But like pretty much everything, they have their place. And some places they get put in are quite odd. I mean if the video, for instance, has absolutely nothing to do with her breasts, why should they be in some odd half-strap thing? So I guess yes and no.

I have no problem seeing nudity or whatever if it is part of the tickling. If it is just out and never touched...well then seriously why is it all hanging about.

In general I will never understand random nudity for no reason.

I can understand random nudity. But, I honestly have to laugh when I see stuff like what Bella was saying in her OP. When it's so obviously staged in a certain position, it can be downright laughable. I mean, if a gal is loosely tied and the bucking around causes her shirt to rise up and expose her breasts, that's one thing. But, when there's a cut and all of a sudden, "Hey look! Titties!" I mean, come on, get real...literally! lol

The random "Oh no! I lost my top!" stuff takes away from the video for me. If the lee happens to be wearing something that while wiggling around may pop off. Let it happen, don't make it happen.

Sort of like if the lee has footwear and then suddenly they have disappeared once the tickling starts.

I saw a clip the other day on here that was sex and then a little tickling. It was not what I would buy. I will admit to liking boob shots on occasion. There is also the issue where T and A sells. Personally, I think there are too many lately that see it as just sex and that is hilarious. I honestly think that Tickle Abuse has a good mixture. TIB always got it right. Jeff has always got it right. There are producers that make the hard core stuff and I applaud their drive to fill a niche. I also know I did not mention every producer here and there are too many. I think we're over exposed on videos, so you have to do something that catches the eye. Honestly, I think that Jeff, in this instance, should be the one emulated by other producers. Will I get heard? I doubt it, because I will be shouted down by the younger or more horn dog people who want to scream for sex sex sex or whatever topic they want.

If the breast is only a 10 seconds bait on a hook to sell a tickling video that has almost no tickling, that is a "main course" of the twin hills where so many men where lost forever and a side dish of tickling where so many women lost their sanity I would dislike them, the other way round I would like them.
And anything with Bella's fingernails is so good and so scarce!
