I'll Tell You What I Really Took From It..
Besides the fact she has a great voice, is an extremely talented musician, and is hotter than hell.
This lady led quite a life, no father, alcoholic mother, and virtually anything bad that can happen to a child. She worked some DAMN shitty jobs, yet realized her drive and talen would get her to the top.
Now compare her with a rapper, say Tupac . NO talent, yet never appreciated he was at the top of his profession anyways. Abused the privilege and helped no oned but himself. His way of representing his fans was to make an excuse for them, and his lifestyle.
Gretchen Wilson on the other hand Is extremely talented, and realizes it. At the same time she's not arrogant about it, and respects the hard work it took to get where she is. She's helped her family, AND when she represents her fan base, a group of people who has it every bit as hard as Tupacs, she's celebrating them, not making excuses for them.
