Back when I was in college I broke out into a verse of "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. That was one for me I guess. Something about that song was just always catchy to me for some reason.

So....yea....Barry Manilow is my guilty music pleasure.

Um, hair metal...

And 80s New Wave and Synthpop. Pretty much the easiest way to get me singing at the top of my lungs when I'm drunk is for Blasphemous Rumors to come on the radio.

Alphaville is on an 80`s TOUR in Europe The tour is playing to crowds of up 40,000 in some places

Captain and Tennille
Bay City Rollers
The Go's Go's

or anything else is not a guilty pleasure because I will listen and enjoy them in the most public of settings.

By the way....watching the video of The Go's-Go's song "Our Lips are Sealed" reminds of how much fun music used to be, and how Mrs. Carlisle was the MOST ADORABLE WOMAN EVER! God I loved her when that song came out.

I've never understood why anyone would be embarrassed for liking a particular song or band, but I have taken crap in the past for my love of Duran Duran, Erasure, and the Pet Shop Boys. Of course, most of those people like that crap the 90s tried to pass off as music, so it doesn't really mean anything coming from them. 😀
 
Guilty pleasures? If I feel guilty about anything it's because I don't understand any of the words these singers are singing. But I do get a lot of pleasure listening to stuff like this:
