This could be the way of the world, if we could just "see" the truth of the matter, that we could get along with each other if we could somehow discard the wounds and transgressions of the past, including the acts of nearly every major religion on Earth. So close, indeed, but getting cultures that are conditioned to treat women or people of different skin color or location/religion as inferiors won't happen in our lifetimes...dammit! Only hope is an alien invasion so we have a common enemy...which of course could lead to our extermination.
