Yay for giggle's b-day! I turn 20 this month too! Well, 20 + 13 but that's not really important!

I was at work today, and had occasion to reply to texts on my phone. It shouted the date: May 24th. I said aloud, "Mairead's birthday. She's 20 today." I then left a message on the machine at home as a reminder...

I wouldn't do this for just anyone. You see, Mairead's very, very special. She's one of the most extraordinary individuals I've met in this place. She's incredibly wise beyond her years; she's flippant, she's funny, she's witty, she's sensitive. She has a real personality, she's not just a line on the screen. She's for real.

I don't think I know of any other people here who have so many people so insanely jealous of her. Rightfully so. They should be.

Mairead's terrific. And so, happy birthday, my friend. And, go out tonight and do everything Venray wouldn't do. It'll make you feel better

Knox, you are the best. I love you.

Neither do I. I still actually have the swim trunks that were issued me on my first full day at boot camp in Great Lakes. They still look reasonably new, after much wear. Must've been a mistake, you know, a garment that lasts this long. Who do you complain to?

Those swim trunks precede Mairead by quite a few years...
