Happy new year everyone! So I'm not the first person to post this, but I figured I could maybe get a hopefully positive and motivational discussion going for everyone to discuss their hopes, goals, and expectations going into the new year.

Its my thread so I guess I'll start. I start EMT school next Tuesday. I've been an EMT before but its been about 5/6 years and my certs expired and I forgot some of the medical stuff so going back to school, done in June.

Tired of my job working hospital security. Its draining. So hoping to graduate, pass the national registry exam, and land a decent paying EMT job. Eventually work my way into paramedic or nurse. Teach my son how to read, my daughter how to drive. And maybe pay off the majority of my debt.

Your turn. Share some of your hopes with me.

Good Luck. Happy New Year, Blue Line, and Kurch

My new years goal. To continue to improve my health, make more friends, get at least a part time job, and hopefully, at least a relationship.

I've posted on here that I had a TIA/Minor Stroke in October 2024 due to being about 20 lbs overweight, and having very high cholesterol.

In 2025, I made major strides with my health, lowering my cholesterol 70 points with the aid of an excellent cardiologist, meds, and dietary changes.

In 2026, I plan to continue full speed ahead.

Happy New Year!

Little late to the party here, but 2026 is about to be a pretty exciting year as both of my sons should be graduating, and hopefully I can merge my way into a different career, or class of jobs.

Make a few new tickle friends as well as help mentor some of my sons friends into adulthood as a few of them can use all of the coaching, and encouragement that they can get.

There's also a few hikes around my region that I would like to get out and explore more.
Rain, snow, or shine I like to frolick around the woods and catch a few photos from around the mountains, and beaches.

They are some pretty ambitious goals for such a busy year but as they say; go hard or go home.😜
Hope you all are having a great 2026, and do give me a shout if you are ever around the mountains or east Tennessee, Western North Carolina, southwest Virginia, or anywhere else that you think has some fun outdoor activities.

I'm always looking for new places 😉
Happy New Year!
Lets make it the best one yet!🍾🍻🤙

So far, the year has started off rough. Been in and out of the doctor's offices and the hospital multiple times with my kids. My one kid, the one-year-old, is doing alright. But the 4-year-old has been in the hospital twice now and can't seem to beat this fever/illness. Also, both of my NFL sports teams got knocked out of playoffs and I lost money on them so there's that. Also, all the overtime at work is gone so my paychecks suck.

However, it can only go up from here, right? Keep calm and carry on, I guess.

It's been a weird year for most NFL teams. I'm a Green Bay fan so we're finished as well.
Hope your daughter get better soon.
Its rough being in and out of the hospital, but it makes them pretty resilient too.

Here's to things picking up for everyone.🍻
