I Have Sort Of..
Last week, on Monday night I was at work. I was just getting ready to start when all of a sudden it felt like I got stabbed from the right side in the lower rib cage. I felt it for about 2 seconds. I blinked and the guy I was talking to asked if I was ok. I said yeah, we started talking again and 5 seconds later I had the same feeling, only it lasted about 5 seconds. It knocked me clean off my feet and I whited out with pain. The next thing I remember is hunching over in a chair, with the plant nurse putting an oxygen mask over my face. Shortly thereafter I was escorted out in an ambulance.
It wasn't a heart attack, I had none of the classic symptoms. At the hospital they gave me an EKG (clear), Ultrasounds of my chest, gall bladder and kidneys (clear), and an x Ray that showed a slight inflamation on my lower right rib cage. My white blood count had doubled.
Prior to this I had no symtoms of anything, no cold, no pain (outside the rotator cuff which I'll eventually get around to getting checked out). I felt great. Since then I've been sleeping 12 to 14 hours a day (normal for me is about 5 or 6). The emergency room doctor said I had something that began with a C, bit a cardiologist my niece works for said I'm way to young to have it and I have none of the other classic symptoms. He did mention pleurisy as a possible cause.
I wanted to go back to work tonmight, I feel about 55 or 60% but they say I need a doctor to clear me. Since I don't have a doctor I have to find one in the morning.
Thanks for your replies!
