Has This Happened in Your School?

Hey for those of you that do not know me, my name is Mike and I'm from MA. I go to Bentley College here in MA and something strange really happened at my school a couple of weeks ago. It's not really tickling related, but I thought if I put it here, it would get your attention. This was reported from school's Police Department.

A message from the Bentley Police Department to the Community.

It has come to the attention of the Bentley Police Department that there have been a few strange encounters with a suspicious male on campus. In each encounter, the person has approached female students on these occasions and claimed to be conducting a survey. He then offered them approximately $100 for their participation in it. The survey begins seemingly normal, and then this person begins to ask strange questions about the women’s feet. This person seems to be in the area of the academic buildings, specifically the Baker Library, when he approaches these females.

I just wondering if anyone had experienced this. I know that there are some sites that do these kind of things, so I don't know how you girls would feel if this happened to you. Also, would guys here with foot fetish, do this at a school? and do he's giving guys with a foot fetish a bad rep? I thought it was interesting so that is why I posted it.

sooo whats wrong here?

I have yet to see anything that should involve the police.

A hundred buck for some creepy questions? Dude, a hundred bucks feeds me for like three weeks.

Well, it would seem to me that the fact that the police are hearing about it is a pretty good sign that the guy is making the women feel uncomfortable. The fact that they're calling the police on a guy who's paying them $100 confirms that for me.

See this is exactly the kind of stuff that pisses me off about today's society.

Someone is doing something unconventional, so they call the cops? Wow.

"Um, excuse me, officer? That man paid me $100 and asked me some strange questions about my feet. Can you arrest him?"

As long as this moron doesn't touch anyone inapproriately, he's doing nothing wrong.

I don't know why they complained. They're only questions.. not like he was wanking off while he was getting the responses

I agree with you Hope. It's only questions and I remember seeing somewhere recently where two men were questioning two ladies at a gas pump if they were ticklish. They answered yes and the men offered the ladies $100.00 each to let them tickle their feet. :tickle: :Kiss1:

If you're thinking about the clip I'm thinking of, I'm pretty sure that was a staged situation by TickleHorror, similar to when they had the college student agree to not getting naked, and then taking off her clothes (people got pissed about that, and TickleHorror was just like "Guys, it wasn't real.")

You know what? I'm a little surprised at some of the responses in this thread. Now, the key fact of the matter is that we have very limited information. I have limited information and so do you. And yet there are people here who, based on that limited information, are willing to say that they know for a fact that the women who complain are having silly overreaction or, worse yet, that their reaction represents what's wrong in society today. Now, be clear: I'm admitting my information is limited too. I wouldn't for one second suggest that there's enough evidence in the snippet above to lock the guy up for sex crimes. But to me it's ludicrous to be dismissive of the complaint and not at least see a fair possibility that something was going wrong here. And also, realize this: A college campus is not just another public space. A college campus does, for legitimate reason, exercise a degree of protectiveness over its clientele. In a big city like New York you don't gain entrance to most college campuses at all without either a college ID card or a very good reason to be visiting. Elsewhere, it's easier to get in, but you go asking 18-year-old women on campus questions about their feet, you damn well better expect to be questioned.

I'd let him tickle mine for free... lol

What this person said. You're all just upset about if for the wrong reasons probably...

I see I've been getting quite a few responses. I was just wondering if something like this has happened on your campus meaning yes it has or no it hasn't. I mean I have seen some video stores that do this kind of thing where they offer girls money to either take pictures of their feet or do whatever like tickle and I'm sure there are people here who has this happened to them. But seeing this from a video store to seeing this at my school, I thought was interesting and didn't think would happen. I mean it kind of surprised me to hear about this and him doing it at a public area of my school. And I kind of understand why police reacted for security reasons.

Replace the word "feet" with "breasts", and yes, it has happened at my school.

A few years ago, in fact, there was a major shitstorm here on the TMF over a member doing exactly what you describe, sans the "offering money" part. He even posted the results of his survey here and many people cheered him for it.

Others, like myself, questioned both the ethics and the legality of the situation. Several members swore up and down that it was not something the campus police would care about. My inquiries to the campus in question went unanswered... but needless to say, it was a right mess.

Here's the original thread in question.

Here's the followup.

So yes, it's happened on at least one campus, and apparently your school is taking it slightly more seriously than this one did.

I dont think this guy gives foot fetishism a bad name just himself. Why not simply put an ad in a free paper that college students read? Simply say your paying $100 dollars to do a survey on feet? Its simply counter productive to do the studies the way he is going about it and does not help that the police were called. And its still not clear if any money actually exchanged hands.

I've got to say that's never happened at my school. It's interesting that they're getting paid $100 for questions about their feet. I'd participate in that.

:feets:

I agree...

I agree; it's just a question? Is Bentley a super conservative place?

It's never happened in my Uni, but it does remind me of a friend of mine at uni who was very open about his sexuality - particularly his foot fetish. Though he would get ridiculed, I used to envy they guy for his openness (though I do not have a foot fetish myself 🙂)
Tickling seems to be just a little less "mainstream" than feet :upsidedow

I once would have been surprised, too. But I've been here long enough to know that jumping to conclusions and deluding oneself and others by conjuring one's own version of events from a few statements (even from clearly suspect sources) has been raised to an artform here.

Many do it. It's human. It's understandable. But it's also wrong and deeply, deeply depressing.
