......Lara broke the world record for the highest number of runs in an innings in the hisory of the game. He scored 400 not ( 571 for 5 declared) against England in the final test. England have won the series already and we must be thankfull that Lara did not find this kind of form when it mattered!

Thanks, MAte! That is a very helpful source for the basics of the game. Being a big baseball fan, I have always wondered about the differences/similarities between the 2 sports. Thanks for your help.
I will have to watch a match or two.

So, am I to understand that Mr. Lara scored 400 runs in the one inning match? That is awesome!

And there was his fans putting banners up to for him to leave! Wow, Brian Lara hit a world record under pressure! Awesome! OK, so England didn't get the whitewash, but what the hey...

Brain Lara is a fantastic batsman- a wonderful achievement by him.

What's amazing though, is that England manage to salvage a draw in that test. Well, a 3-0 win with a single draw is good enough for English cricket! Still, big up to Brian Lara.
