Yes! Gatherings are good. The only problem is that we've got some ocean split problems, likely... and even those of us in the states are pretty spread-out. As much as I hate raining on parades, it seems pretty daunting.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear 'em, though.

I once met Nessonite in person. She was in Baltimore a couple of years ago for an anime artist convention. It wasn't a tickle date or anything, we just had lunch at the Inner Harbor. She's one pretty lady and a total sweetheart.

I think I also once met Makugiggl at a munch in Rockville, MD about seven years ago. He's a really cool guy. This munch was put on by a local group here in the DC area called Tethers N Feathers. That was my first ever meeting with other tickling enthusiasts.

I sure did. What was really interesting about it was that most of the people at that munch were not participating on any online tickling forum such as Tickle Theater or alt.multimedia.tk. It seemed to be organized by email and word of mouth.

There are gatherings and there are "munches." The munches are generally held in a restaurant. This one had about 15 people. They arranged the tables in a row and we all got to know each other somewhat.

Some great stories were told. We talked about how tough it was to find tickling material in the 80s and 90s. People shared their own personal exploits. A lot of telephone numbers were exchanged.

There wasn't much actual tickling, being a public venue and all, but there were some pokes and rib grabs here and there. As we were all saying good-bye and preparing to face the January cold, one of the ladies gave me a hug. When she did, she unzipped my jacket, darted her slender hand inside and nailed me good. 🙂

Even aside from the actual tickling, there's something to be said for meeting and hanging out with fellow ticklers and ticklees. We share a unique obsession for this special brand of laughter that few others can appreciate.
